Presentation Description:

If you wake up in the morning and say "I don't know! I don't know who I am, I don't know what I am doing or why! I don't understand anything, really, and I don't know why I don't understand!" then you are blessed. Then life, in whatever form it appears before you, can reveal its secret to you. Because your soul is continually asking: Tell me your secret! Reveal to me your dark and soft mystery. I am ready now, Life, because I have dropped all my pretend-knowing, and now I am a living question, a yearning to meet you as you are beneath all the disguise and pretense, pure and direct. Not through the mind, but direct, straight to the heart. I am ripped open and empty, waiting for you only.

A man who called himself Nisargadatta, which means something like "he who is in his natural state", lived in Bombay, India until 1981. Talking with people who came from far places to hear him, he made such statements as: "Who" and "What" as such at the highest level, are nothing: whatever is, is very clear and obvious. But such a simple fact has turned into a riddle, because that principle has identified itself wrongly with a form, and then takes pride in that identification. It has accepted body as its identity.

You are invited to come to an evening of self-inquiry and reflection on the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.

"You knock at the door of reality, shake your thought-wings, loosen your shoulders, and open." -Rumi
