Lecture: The Tao of Mentoring- The Art of Cultivating Relationships
By Thomas Qubeck

All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION

Presentation Description:

Create peace in your life starting with your closest relationships.

Cultivating relationships between father/son, mother/daughter, mentor/mentoree, teacher/student, between lovers and friends, at your place of work and in social gatherings makes up a large part of our life.

Discover how to engineer your relationships to follow the Way of the Water, using the ancient art and science of Tao Mentoring.

On this evening we will explore together, using the insights of the ancient sages of Taoism, how "Mentoring - the Art of Giving and Receiving Wisdom" can provide sound guidelines for healthy relationships.

My work with the Taoist teacher Chungliang Al Huang has inspired me greatly in this work that brings the Way of the Water as living spirit into all relationships in your life.

"The Way of the Water"

There is space between the smallest things
that is what quantum physics tells us.

How vast is that space?

The legendary oxen butcher
let his knife follow the channel of space
between the tendons, ligaments and bones,
and thus the ox fell apart effortlessly ~
his blade remained sharp even after 19 years!

When we let our spirit and our words
flow into the space that joins us when we meet,
our differences fall apart like a house of cards!

Then we laugh
watching them float to the common ground.

My work with the Taoist teacher Chungliang Al Huang has inspired me greatly in this work that brings the Way of the Water as living spirit into all relationships in your life.

Presenter's Biography:

After having lived in many parts of the world, Thomas Qubeck returned to the USA two years ago to make Ashland his new home, attracted by the unique spiritual community here. As a personal coach he supports individuals to pursue the path of individuation and self-actualization, to explore their spiritual self and bring their daily life into alignment with their deeper goals and visions.

The work he does bridges the spiritual and the material realm. Many spiritually awakened people feel they must compromise their deeper visions and realizations in order to make a living. Thomas assists such persons to discover where their spirituality can flow into activities that will sustain a comfortable lifestyle while being of service to others and the planet.

Workshop: The Tao of Mentoring- The Art of Cultivating Relationships
By Thomas Qubeck

Cost: $10.00 at the door

Workshop Description:

This workshop will be presented on two Saturdays (10/9 and 10/16) and is intended as an opportunity to deepen the work that was introduced at the presentation on the 5th of October at the RVML. The title for this work is "The Art of Cultivating Relationships".

The ancient sages of TAO looked at the essence of all relationships: between parents and children, friends, lovers, at the place of work and between a mentor and a mentoree, or a teacher and a student. In their deep contemplation they saw the basic qualities that allow for the fullest expression of love in each relationship. Living these qualities turns our lives into rich brocade and each new meeting becomes a fine thread weaving the fabric of our life into a vibrant tapestry.

During these workshops we will explore the eight petals of the Golden Flower of Tao Mentoring: Jing Hwa. These are eight principles or concepts that can help you attune yourself to a new way of relating to others, the world and yourself. They are similar to the quintessence found in many teachings -- and so they are not 'new' - however the particular flavor of the Taoist love of life that they are saturated with makes them very effective in assisting you to empty your mind of all the old ways of being in relationship. Jing Hwa points in the direction of giving and receiving wisdom as the foundation
for healthy relationships.

Workshop: Medicine Art
By Constance Dean

COST: $15 sliding scale

Medicine Art is the culmination of almost 20 years of personal process work. Combining Native American "rose reading" techniques, and "Painting From Within", a psychological art process of free-flowing sub-conscious art work, Medicine Art uses color and symbol to represent the body's energy chakra system. For those with no previous art experience, as well as accomplished artists, this technique will surprise you with it's accuracy in depicting the state of your body, mind, and spirit.

This 3-hour class will introduce the work of doing self-readings, interpretation, and "seeing" the energy patterns of others. For those interested in using Medicine Art as a tool, ongoing groups may be created.

Taught by a Crow medicine woman, Constance Dean has been doing "rose readings" for almost 20 years. The process of her personal growth has been chronicled by her profound artwork. Through interpreting the facinating emergence of color and symbol, she has facilitated her own growth process, as well as offering guidance for others through private readings.

Judith Walenta
Lecture: Experiencing the Journey - A Voyage in Cellular Healing
By Judith Walenta

All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION

Presentation Description:

"Deep inside all of us a huge potential beckons, waiting to open us to the joy, genius and freedom within." These are the words of Brandon Bays, who healed completely from a basketball-sized tumor in her abdomen in only 61/2 weeks, during a healing quest which led her to develop The Journey.

In an earlier talk Judy Walenta introduced The Journey, a powerful mind-body modality for the release of cellular memory, to RVML and Ashland. Since 1995, tens of thousands of people in many areas of the world have experienced this work and undergone their own healing journeys through private sessions, informal exchanges and workshops. Many report recovery from cancer, arthritis, asthma, allergies, acne, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis and more. In addition, The Journey has been successful with emotional issues, supporting individuals in healing from grief, loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, rage and addiction. It has been so effective in helping school children in South Africa resolve emotional issues which lead to poor school performance that the Minister of Education is considering adopting it as a part of the national school curriculum.

In this experiential evening, Ms. Walenta will demonstrate, through closed eye processes, a sampling of The Emotional and Physical Journeys. We will be invited to arrive at an expanded state, or Source, beginning with an emotion has hooked us, then proceed on a trip through the body to discover a cell memory and release it through forgiveness. It is recommended, although not essential, that participants read The Journey by Brandon Bays before attending.

Presenter's Biography:

Judy Walenta is a nurse practitioner and healer currently living in northern California. She received her Master's degree in nursing at New York University and her nurse practitioner training at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She has practiced the healing arts and conducted workshops in self-healing both privately and in healthcare facilities for over 25 years.

Her experience healing herself from breast cancer in the early 1990's revealed to her that miracles are available in every moment. Her subsequent search for a way to share this discovery with others and to support them in releasing the core issues, or cell memories, at the heart of their physical or emotional challenges led her to The Journey. In 2001, she completed her certification training in England and Australia and is now one of 19 Journey practitioners in North America.

Note: Judith will present "The Journey" workshop at Hidden Springs in Ashland on 10/23 and 10/24, 2004

Presentation description:

I like to share a vision. To express it in a poem is the easiest way for me - enjoy!

Once
Natives
And their spirits
Called it Siskiyou
A place for gathering,
To heal and to die.

Then
White man's law
Justified
Owning property
And genocide
Of savages.

Now
Spirit and money
Still
Are no friends.

Are we willing
To bridge the gap?
Are we able
To communicate and live
That abundance of spirit
Manifests
In seemingly
Unbridgeable differences?

Are we choosing
To unify
Into a
New
Diverse
Multigenerational
Paradigm:
Ashland -
A
Cultural creative,
Conscious community?

My name is Carlo Kashanre. As a spiritual connector, I can look with my gifts at seemingly incompatible opposites to see and share the connecting spirit. I have been officially teaching spiritual living in the last 25 years as a poet, a woodsmith, an artist, a yoga teacher, a workshop leader, a spirtual teacher, and a holistic mentor. For evolutionary reasons, I was born and raised in Germany, finished medical school in Hamburg in 1971, and post-graduated in psychotherapy, including psychoanalysis, Gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, Bio-energetics and Primal therapy. Spirit calls in funny ways, so I relocated to Los Angeles in 1981 as a handyman, then as a yoga and meditation teacher and spiritual counselor and continued in 1991 in Tucson. I moved 2001 to Ashland, now engaging in community projects, in my practice, and the art and science of living.

Presentation Description:

Many Americans believe a "new" way of addressing and solving our public policy problems must be identified if we are, indeed, ever going to genuinely solve them. What might such a genuinely "new" way of analyzing domestic and international affairs look like?

Attorney Daniel Sheehan believes that the answer lies in the re-structuring of all of the classical fields of human knowledge - including "Political Philosophy" and "Political Science" - to fully integrate into these fields the absolutely extraordinary discoveries which were made in the field of "Quantum Physics" between 1923 and 1926.

It is important to understand how these important physical discoveries must alter our human understanding, not only in these important fields of physical science, but in our understanding of the world and our position therein.

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE NEW PARADIGM PROJECT

The mission of The New Paradigm Project is to educate American citizens as to the set of principles which are logically generated by an adherence to the basic pillar beliefs of the Sixth Paradigm "Natural Law" Worldview which have been identified by THE CAMBRIDGE INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF ALTERNATIVE WORLDVIEWS, to educate American citizens as to the specific public policies and public and private programs which logically flow from an adherence to these principles and to compare and contrast the policies and programs of the "New Paradigm Worldview" with those generated by the other seven "Worldviews" so identified.

This "New Paradigm" Worldview is rooted in a cosmological belief in a holistic, unified monistic Universe; in an ontological belief in the manifestation within our Universe of Consciousness as an integral aspect of the make up of our Universe and in the epistemological belief that we human beings are a confluence of mass, energy and consciousness who not only naturally manifest within our Universe but who also possess a biological faculty of intuition (which is a biological faculty just like sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell) by means of which each individual human being is potentially capable of directly experientially accessing the physical phenomenon which bonds together every single ultimately-irreducible inchoate quantum field of incipient matter in the entire physical Universe into one unified, harmonious whole.

This "Worldview" generates a "Mode of Ethical Reasoning" pursuant to which adherents to this "New Paradigm Worldview" believe that every individual human being possesses the potential capability of experientially discerning what human conduct is harmonious with the natural order of the Universe and what human conduct is dis-harmonious to the natural order of the Universe.

Adherence to these pillar beliefs of the "New Paradigm Worldview" generate an adherence to a "Natural Law Philosophy", a "Progressive Political Philosophy", an "Archetypal Theory of Human Psychology", a "Radically Monistic Mode of Spiritual Expression" and the advocacy of a "Bio-Regional, Communitarian Social Form."

The New Paradigm Project will conduct a grassroots public education campaign of the nature of the 19th Century Chautauqua Movement; radio and television programs and a major educational website. It will also sponsor the writing of books; the production of musical recordings; the writing and production of stage plays, television programs; large screen and television documentaries and motion pictures.

Presenter's Biography:

Free Lecture: Storyboarding your Future
By Armando Buscik

Note: Lecture: Election '04-The Astrological Perspective
By Christopher Dakiades has been CANCELED.

FREE ADMISSION

Presentation Description:

Draw simple images to create the world you want to live into.

The oldest human artworks are cave paintings of successful hunts and harvests. These were done 30,000 years ago, during the last ice age. These images were done, not to record events that happened, but were done before the event to make it happen. The root of the word magic is image. These images enabled us to survive thousands of years of winter. These images are what art has been for most of the story of our species and have helped it survive to this day.

This presentation will introduce you to the creative power of images. You will be shown how to draw sequences of simple diagrams that can become your future.

Drawing is a basic human talent: you don't have to draw better than a cave dweller to draw what you want into your life.

Bring your favorite pen, brush, or pencil. (It does require magical tools) and paper (our cave wall).

The presenter, Armando Buscik, has been a storyboard artist for independent films and commercials, as well as a graphic designer. Also, as a symbologist, for over 40 years he has studied, and practiced, world symbol systems such as Shamanic maps, the I Ching, The Chakras, the Qaballa and other universal interfaces.

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE NEW PARADIGM PROJECT

The New Paradigm Project, located in Santa Cruz, California, is a wholly- integrated auxiliary project of The Oscar Romero Institute, a 25-year-old 501(C)(3) tax-exempt, tax-deductible public interest public education center.

By Nancy Marie

All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION

Presentation Description:

Are you living what you believe? Or do you feel controlled by the external wishes and demands of others? Nancy Marie, an internationally known intuitive, will share some of her innovative breath, sound and movement techniques with us this evening. Having a clear understanding on how your breath, the sound of your voice and subtle body movements actually effects your cellular biology can make it a lot easier to stay grounded in your own beliefs and respond to life's little challenges from your own wholeness.

Presenter's Biography:

Ms. Marie is a gifted intuitive, author and illustrator who has taught intuitive development for the last 25 years. Ms Marie is known internationally for her highly accurate readings and her innovative teaching techniques using breath, sound and movement. She is an enthusiastic speaker with a talent for explaining even the most esoteric subjects in such a way that anyone, whether on a spiritual path or not, can grasp their meaning

In 1997 Nancy wrote and illustrated her first book, The Beckoning Song of Your Soul: A Guidebook for Developing Your Intuition (ISBN 0-9660418-0-1). This book moves intuition away from the esoteric and back into the mainstream of life, where it belongs.

Her second book, Passage of Change, A fable based on the research of Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. (ISBN 0-9660418-2-8) was just released in April of 2004. This marvelous little book illustrates how our beliefs affect our cellular biology and how changing our beliefs we can literally change our whole life.
