Presentation Description:
Sandra shares her astrological and philosophical reflections on the
symbolic "State of the Solar System", with special emphasis on the significance of
Planet Uranus� current shift from Aquarius into the Sign of Pisces. Uranus
functions as a collective catalyst, stirring up both social and personal
breakdowns, along with the breakthroughs that challenge us to define and refine our
evolutionary path.
Join Sandra in musing about how we may use the planetary transits (align
ments between planets) as "teaching tales" to further our understandings about
how to cooperate and connect with the larger cycles at work in the Universe.
In this spirit, she offers us more poetry than prediction, and poses more
questions than answers. The intent being to activate, rather than pacify our own
conscious involvement as storytellers who, along with the planetary bodies
encircling us, are making up the Universe. How we know and share creation becomes
our story.
Sandra Pastorius is a veteran Astrologer in practice since 1979, offering
personal consultations, mentoring and groups. Her writing appears in the
annual We�Moon Astrological Datebooks.
In 1979, with the publication of Yin Visions by Laughing Giraffe, a
monthly column in Plexus, a California Bay Area feminist newspaper, Sandra explored
a feminine perspective in Astrology, and developed an emphasis on using the
monthly Moon cycle as a teaching wheel. From 1980-82 she practiced in Ashland,
Oregon, and began a monthly Moon Sign column by subscription called, The Lunar
Muse, which she published for ten years. From 1982-85 she practiced in
Eugene, OR, and offered an Astrological Forum on Pluto entering the Sign of Scorpio.
From 1985 until 2001 Sandra was based in Santa Cruz, California where she
produced and participated in a series of astrological forums and salons which
commemorated the outer Planets� change of Sign.
Sandra re-opens her practice in Southern Oregon this Fall, offering
private readings, groups and the "Astrology Drop-In Clinic". These sessions offer a
new form for teaching and reading charts that will be explorative and fun. It
features her original process for using astrology as a healing art, which
focuses on the Signs and their associated symbolic "medicines". Watch the RVML
