Lecture: Life Energy Research at the OBRL Greensprings Center by James DeMeo Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Location: RVML Event Center - 258 A St, Ashland
![]() By James DeMeo All Tuesday evening events at RVML are free admission Presentation Description: In the first half of the last Century, Dr. Wilhelm Reich announced the discovery of a specific life-energy, which he called the *orgone* energy. His discovery was greeted with controversy and attacks from mainstream science and medicine. Reich was hounded by both the Nazis and Stalinists, who forced him to flee to the USA in 1939. Here, the attacks continued, even as the objective documentation and scientific/medical applications of Reich's discovery gained increasing clinical and scientific support. Reich died in prison, a victim of over-zealous US courts and deliberate journalistic lying about his work -- his books were burned by the US Food and Drug Administration in incinerators in New York, as late as 1962. Presenter's Biography: Dr. James DeMeo, Director of the Orgone Biophysical Research Laboratory is one of a handful of natural scientists who undertook a rational and objective examination of Reich's controversial claims, finding them to be both accurate and substantive. He has written extensively on his experimental investigations into Reich's claims on the orgone energy, on the existence of a very real and demonstrable energy in space and in the atmosphere, which is specific to living organisms as well. Dr. DeMeo's Orgone Accumulator Handbook is a small-press best-seller, now translated into seven languages, and his Institute -- located in the Greensprings mountains east of Ashland -- continues with experimental life-energy research and educational programs. Dr. DeMeo will give a lecture with slides, and a small demonstration of both a simple orgone-energy blanket, and a new experimental Life Energy Meter developed along the lines of Reich's discovery.
