19th Century American political economist Henry George, acknowledged as one of the primary inspirations of the Progressive Era, is relevant for these days when once again nothing seems to be working, and only Band-Aid fixes and polarized shouting is heard in the land.
Perhaps now is the time to take another look.
Wendell Fitzgerald has a BA in history from Princeton University. He is now a recovering lawyer and has been a student and teacher of the economic analysis of Henry George for nearly 50 years.
