Lecture: Neuro-Linguistic Programming- Heart of the Mind
By Lindagail Campbell

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome, no one turned away

Presentation Description:

Wouldn't you like to be an even better communicator? Experience the confidence that comes from knowing what questions to ask for increased clarity; questions that help you recover the important deletions, distortions, and generalizations we naturally make in everyday conversation. You'll be better understood by others, because you will be communicating accurately and specifically. Whether you want to improve what you are already doing or adopt entirely new behaviors, the NLP skills of tape editing, future pacing, and accessing more resourceful emotional states will ensure the improvements you make will really last. If you don't know how to perform a particular skill or behavior, you will learn to model an expert. And when you need to give or receive difficult feedback, the encouragement model, the strategy for responding to criticism, and tools for diffusing an irate person are a must for keeping your cool when things get tough. These skills are essential for anyone who deals with people!

Lecture: Sacred Art Revealing Meditation- The Inner Meaning of Legendary Works of Buddhist Art
By Robert Bruce Newman

Presentation Description:

This slide lecture presents life-like images of renowned statues of the disciples of the Buddha (Lohans, Chinese; Arhats, Sanskrit.). The ceramic statues constitute the remaining half of the greatest single work of art from the Orient.

These are the famous statues that embody the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha reflected in his direct disciples. They reveal many qualities of realization.

The images are from the book, Disciples of the Buddha; Living Images of Meditation by Robert Bruce Newman. It has an extensive introduction by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the revered Buddhist meditation master. He said of these lohan-disciples: "I think that the statues are expressions of nonverbal experience that the artist had in the state of arhathood.

The statues are powerful because they are filled with a state of experience. We could say that these images present the particular realization of the Buddha's sanity in his disciples. The images are done with a sense of awe and reverence, in a very sacred application. And so the images are very human and at the same time kind of superhuman."

Major Western museums paid an average of two and a quarter million dollars for each the eight surviving statues in 1913-14, the largest sums ever paid for works of art at that time. They have received great respect for decades. Many people have had remarkable experiences with the statues, which shock them into inherent spiritual knowledge.

The statues represent Ch'an-Zen Buddhism at the height of its spiritual influence in China. This presentation reveals the connection of the lohan/disciple tradition with the tradition of portrait statues of teachers of the lineage. The statues objectify Vipashyana meditation, "extraordinary insight", "panoramic awareness", and suggest the meditation training halls they were made for. This work honors the profound potential of human art and a great meditation tradition alive in Japan and the West today. This meditation is widely used in medicine and self-development.

Presenter's Biography:

Robert Bruce Newman worked closely with Tibetan meditation masters and doctors for more than 20 years. He was authorized to teach the meditation practice embodied in the work he is presenting. He taught at the University of Colorado, Naropa University, and the City University of New York. His publications include:

The Lohan Statues and the Stages of Realization; Loca, Random House, 2/75 Disciples of the Buddha; Living Images of Meditation; Cool Grove Press, 4/01The I-Chou Lohan Statues; Shambhala Sun, Halifax, NS; 5/01 Calm Birth; New Method for Conscious Childbirth; North Atlantic Books; 10/05 Calm Healing; Medicine for a New Era; North Atlantic Books; 11/06

Mr. Newman is president of Medigrace, which has been researching and developing programs in the medical uses of meditation since 1991. He has presented more than 90 training seminars in West Coast hospitals since 1997.

Workshop: "The Power of Past-Life Recall"- An Evening of Inner Transformation
With Barbara Burritt

COST: $5.00

Presentation Description:

One experience we share in common is the mysterious realm of dreams. Dreams leap across all boundaries of race, language, and time itself. This is a doorway to other dimensions filled with healing power. What prevents us from turning the key to releasing this energy hiding in our shadows? Fear with limited thought patterns may be the answer. Past-life recall can shed light upon this inner calling of the psyche. Could destiny be waiting for us to remember?

Barbara Burritt will share her past-life recall experiences and read two short excerpts from her book of memoirs, Eclipse of Fate...my healing journey through past-life recall. Afterwards, she will lead an open discussion on the healing power of the sub-conscious. Her healing miracle was greatly assisted by past-life recall of the Knights Templar, Cathars, and the Holy Graal. A book display will be available for sales and book-signing at the conclusion of the evening. A suggested donation of five dollars should not deter anyone from attending.

A global awareness and curiosity is growing in the Holy Graal, Knights Templar, and the Sacred Feminine. There appears to be a gathering of the tribes to a higher path...is it calling you? Are you feeling familiar recollections from some other life-time? Perhaps you may be following your own thread as you remember. If so, please join us.

Presenter's Biography

Barbara Burritt is a visionary artist and author living in Ashland, Oregon. Her paintings and linear Celtic artwork has been exhibited nationally for thirty years. She completed her post-graduate studies in London, England at the Royal College of Art in 1992. Listed in the Who's Who of American Women since 2000, she also is listed in the Outstanding Women of the 21st Century in Cambridge, England.

In 2005 her first book, Eclipse of Fate...my healing journey through past-life recall, was published by Inkwater Press. Her non-fiction articles with a focus on the paranormal and past-life recall were published in Beltane Papers, FATE, Dream Network Magazine, and New-Connexion Papers. At the present she is leading healing talks and seminars for sincere souls open to the hidden power within.

Astrology in Ashland Lecture Series:
Holographic Transits with Robert Blaschke

Presented by: "Astrology in Ashland"- The Southern Oregon Chapter of the
National Council for Geocosmic Research (SONCGR*)

$5, General Public, $4 Seniors (62+), $3 SONCGR Member

Meets every third Monday of the month at RVML

Lecture Description:

From his forthcoming Volume V - Holographic Transits, Robert will describe Phase Angle Return charts and how transit technique is evolving from the fourth dimensional reality of individual planetary cycles into the fifth dimension of holographic replication of birth patterns. The nativity will be shown to consist of three-dimensional holograms, and the space-time continuum is presented as underpinning free will and fate. The Sun, as the central star of our solar system, is the integrating force for all of the planetary energies. By measuring distance arcs between the Sun and the other planets at birth, one can then calculate when the Sun and these other heavenly bodies return to that identical hologram in the heavens, creating opportunity for free will to align with Higher Self.

Robert P. Blaschke, founder of Earthwalk School of Astrology in February 1992, is an internationally respected full-time professional consulting, lecturing and teaching astrologer. He has lectured at regional and international astrology conferences in the USA, Canada, Australia and Serbia, and has been a guest speaker for over forty different U.S. and Canadian local astrological associations in twenty states and provinces. He is the author of the critically acclaimed Astrology: A Language of Life series: Volume I - Progressions, Volume II - Sabian Aspect Orbs, Volume III - A Handbook for the Self-Employed Astrologer, and Volume IV - Relationship Analysis. Volume V - Holographic Transits is scheduled for publication in November 2006.

When we live in cooperation there will be no famines, there will be no lack of anything, because the real world, the world of love, is the truth of intelligence and abundance.

NOW is the time to choose! Do you want to live in the illusion of mind, in suspicion and fear, or do you want to live in reality as love itself? We already know what you choose, so come join us to celebrate the transition!

Presenter's Biography:

Lawrence Katz, who grew up in the Bronx, NY, was drawn to the Ashland area 35 years ago in the course of his search for a realm of love and peace on earth. He is happy to report that, after much trial and error, he has discovered that BEING love and peace is what works.

After a successful career as a realtor in Ashland, Lawrence was guided to sell his investment properties, buy large sacred crystals, and begin his work of transformational "Soulular Healing" using the crystal/copper grid chamber that he created at the Transition Sanctuary. His focus now is supporting the transition of the human family to match the earth's new frequency of unconditional love. His autobiography is titled: STREETWISE SPIRITUALITY: An Entrepreneur's Journey to the Oneness.

Free Event: "3 Dog Night"- Sneak Preview Video & Lecture

In honor of Wolf Awareness Week, Defenders of Wildlife will be presenting a sneak preview of an upcoming film on wolves, coyotes and fox by National Geographic wildlife photographer Bob Landis.

Following the film, Amaroq Weiss, Defenders of Wildlife's regional director, will speak regarding the current status of wolf recovery in the West.

Defenders of Wildlife is dedicated to the protection of all native wild animals and plants in their natural communities. We focus our programs on what scientists consider two of the most serious environmental threats to the planet: the accelerating rate of extinction of species and the associated loss of biological diversity, and habitat alteration and destruction. Long known for our leadership on endangered species issues, Defenders of Wildlife also advocates new approaches to wildlife conservation that will help keep species from becoming endangered. Our programs encourage protection of entire ecosystems and interconnected habitats while protecting predators that serve as indicator species for ecosystem health.

Some of the nation's most prominent biologists have estimated that protecting habitat for wide-ranging predators such as wolves will conserve 90 percent or more of overall biological diversity. Because wolves can require home ranges of several hundred square miles, their conservation can help preserve a host of other species making use of the same habitat. The wolf also is a symbol of wild nature. Defenders is leading efforts to restore wolves to selected former habitats in the lower 48 states and to prevent the extirpation of wolves in areas where they still exist.

Lecture: Discovering Your Dreams and Their Purpose
Edgar Cayce's Readings on Dream Interpretation
By Eric Stahlman

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome, no one turned away

Presentation Description:

"All dreams are given for the benefit of the individual." Reading 294-15

Edgar Cayce, known as the "Sleeping Prophet" was able to enter an unconscious state and discuss things that he was not consciously aware of. Through this state he spoke of many things pertinent to our modern day culture, from health to meditation to our spiritual selves to how best to interpret our dreams.

This lecture will cover an introduction to Edgar Cayce; taking you from his hometown in Kentucky to the center in Virginia Beach, VA, The Association for Research & Enlightenment, which has been built up around his readings.

You will then hear what Edgar Cayce had to say specifically about dreams. Including the purpose of your dreams, how to recall them, how to interpret them, and the importance of listening and applying them. Dreams are basically a divine helping hand, and listening to them can help you discover who you are and what you might need to work on next in life in order to make the next step in your personal transformation. Dreams are best interpreted by the person who had the dream, for the symbols in the dream come from the dreamers own mind.

This information provided in this lecture is for both those people that want to learn more about the mystery that happens while they sleep and for those who are familiar with the dream world and want to know what Edgar Cayce has to say on the topic.

Presenter's Biography

Eric Stahlman first discovered Edgar Cayce in 2001 when he began his journey through massage school at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. He felt an immediate connection with the teachings from the readings that dealt with the physical body, the mental state, and the spiritual self. Part way through school he began lecturing on the Cayce related topic of Dreams and Dream Interpretation, discovering that the more he lectured the more he wanted to learn. He has since graduated from the massage school, taken an intensive dream related class at the Cayce created Atlantic University, and developed more lectures on meditation, exercise, and different ways to take care of your body, mind, and spirit.

With over 50 hours of lectures under his belt, 3 years of Cayce/Reilly Massage School training, and a year and a half employed at the Association of Research and Enlightenment as an Education Coordinator, Eric Stahlman is excited to share what he has learned about the phenomenal insights that Edgar Cayce has given to the world.
