Lecture: The Chakras through Sound and Chanting Chakra Dayana, a Musical Meditation with Zoe Alowan
Cost: $5.00 to $20.00 - sliding scale
Event Description:
During the month of April the Nuwandart Gallery walls will be transformed into a "Chapel of Chakras." Leah Fanning Mebane's art show of stunningly beautiful, large abstract chakra paintings will be shinning from all the walls. To deepen our experience of these visionary works of art, fellow artist, singer and studio mate, Zoe Alowan, will lead the group through the Chakra Dayana, a musical path to meditation.
The Chakra Dayana is a formulation of ancient Tibetan & Indian techniques that cleanse and move energy through the subtle energy centers of the body.
This practice may open up inner mystical dimensions as well as enhance the ability to relax and fully experience this "chapel of chakras ". Oneness blessing will be available for those who wish to receive it following the chanting.
