Presentation Description:
Seven Thousand years ago, in the Changbai Mountains of northeastern China, local shamans defined and developed our first system of plant-based health maintenance. With meticulous accuracy, they refined what is still the most sophisticated and safest form of herbal health care on Earth. Extensive modern research has proven the accuracy of these ancient shamanic observations and the efficacy of the herbs and therapies they documented. Their philosophies on health became the foundation of Taoism and formed the concept of Yin and Yang and the energetic body meridians, and these protocols are being adopted as a universal standardization for herbal therapeutic properties in the newly emerging worldwide herbal pharmacopoeia.
Presenter's Biography:
Rehmannia Thomas completed an 8 year apprenticeship as 'Tea-master' for Taoist Master-herbalist Ron Teeguarden, and is an initiate into a Chinese herbal lineage called the 'Gate of Life School', which originated in 2975 b.c. and focuses on longevity, wisdom, adaptability, and prevention of disease through the use of whole herb tea formulas and nutrition. Rehmannia will discuss how Chinese Tonic herbs have been used for centuries to harmonize mind, body, spirit, enhance creative expression, adaptability and help prevent disease. He will also discuss the fascinating origins of this little known health maintenance system and its benefits as an addition to a healthy diet and lifestyle in the perilous modern world. Also, he will discuss the origins of cellular life and consciousness and the differences between food-based plants and herbs. We will see, taste and feel the ancient sacred herbs and learn about their practical application to health maintenance, and their potential beneficial role in our current evolution.
