Video Description:
Jill Bolte Taylor was a 37-year-old Harvard-trained brain scientist when a blood vessel exploded in her brain. Jill Bolte Taylor talks with Oprah about how she watched her own mind completely deteriorate, and about the spiritual and medical metamorphosis she experienced after. She wrote a book about her experience called, "My Stroke of Insight".
The showing includes the TED talk that Jill Bolte Taylor gave about her experience, and her complete interview with Oprah on Oprah's Soul Series. Afterwards, there will be an optional discussion led by Rev. Ruth Kirby to facilitate integrating the ideas presented into our own lives.

Facilitator's Biography:
Rev. Ruth Kirby is the founder of the Living Truth Center, a Science of Mind center. Rev. Ruth has been involved with the Science of Mind philosophy and other New Thought teachings for 18 years. She founded Living Truth Center in 2004 and has been serving there as Minister and Spiritual Director. Rev. Ruth is also active in the Rogue Valley Interfaith Ministries group that meets monthly in Ashland and coordinates two interfaith services a year, one on Thanksgiving and one on Earth Day weekend.
