Series Description:
Join facilitator Marla Estes to watch and discuss the concepts of love, psychology, sociology and culture in these great films. All ages welcome!
This Week's Film:
(U.S., 2009) is a "romantic comedy about a man who falls head over heels for a woman who doesn't believe in love. He believes deeply in the concept of soul mates, and he's finally found his.
Unfortunately for him, his beloved sees true love as the stuff of fairy tales, and isn't looking for romance. Undaunted and undeterred by his breezy lover's casual stance on relationships, he summons all of his might and courage to pursue her and convince her that their love is real." We get to look at romance from a male perspective (for a change!) and also the value of unrequited love, how it can lead us to deepening our inner resources and creativity.
Please note: The actual title of these films is not permitted on our website per our Licensing Agreement. Sorry! However; the titles are included in RVML's Weekly Event Announcement e-Mails (see below for link).
