Presentation Description:
This will be an introduction to the four kinds of brainwaves - beta, alpha, theta, and delta, and how they communicate with one another to pass information between the conscious and unconscious mind. It is possible to train our brainwaves through meditation and therapeutic techniques. The process of mastering our brainwaves can help us be less stressed, more emotionally balanced, enter creative states at will, be more effective problem solvers and heal ourselves of illness.
Jerry Rosser, MS, MA, MFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been practicing and teaching counseling for 20 years. He was a member of the Psychosynthesis teaching staff of the Synthesis Center in Amherst, MA and has taught psychosynthesis at Omega Institute in Rhinebech, New York. Jerry specializes in working with children and families. He is currently a case manager and telephonic crisis counselor for Health Net and has a private psychotherapy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jerry's current interest is the accessing of deeper states of consciousness through neurofeedback in order to help people reduce stress, and increase creativity and productivity in achieving their life goals. He has researched the effects of music on the human energy system, and produced the video program "The Esoteric Nature of Music" for Quest Publishers. He also does clinical trainings on Mandala Art Therapy.
