THIRD WEDNESDAYS Monthly at 7pm: Apr. 16, May 21, Jun 18, Jul 16, Aug 20, Sep 17
Wed, April 16, 7pm Film: “REFUGE”
REFUGE is a story about fear and love in the American South. The feature-length documentary follows a leader in a h@te group who finds healing from the people he once h@ted – a Muslim heart doctor and his town of refugees.
REFUGE is set in the most diverse square mile in America – Clarkston, Georgia – and follows a Syrian Kurd, a former Kl@nsman, and a town of refugees who seek belonging in an increasingly polarized and isolated America. Ultimately, REFUGE uncovers what is possible when we leave the security of our tribes and what is at stake for our country if we don’t.
