Finding the Wisdom of the Dream by Marcia Emery, Ph.D.

Dr. Carl Jung, best known for his transformative work in depth psychology, said, “The dream is an invaluable commentator and illuminator of life. Listen to the wisdom of the dream.” He spoke from personal experience, as the messages bubbling up from his own dreams profoundly transformed his own lifework. But where can one find the wisdom embedded in terrifying nightmares such as these: Joe chased by a can of tomato paste? Or Rose’s brakes failing in the middle of traffic? A doctor telling a dreamer that they had cancer and needed immediate surgery?
Or, have you ever had a nighttime dream come true in your waking life? Precognitive dreams can also offer valuable gifts, if you understand and then act on them. Premonitions of this kind can warn the dreamer of an accident or health challenge for example, or preview the sunnier side of life such as a promotion, or an upcoming romance.
What gifts might dreams such as these bring to us? In this presentation, Marcia will share her knowledge and her lifelong passion for the field of dreams.
Marcia Emery, Ph.D has led a magical life, as a pioneer in the field of applied intuition, and as a traditional psychologist, consultant, and college professor, to stepping out into the world of parapsychology, where she blends the study of intuition and dreams in her books and in the college classroom. She’s written three books: PowerHunch!, The Intuitive Healer, and Dr. Marcia’s Intuition Workbook. Active in the field of dreams, Marcia served as one of three experts on the “Dream Decoders” TV show on the Discovery Health Channel. She also hosted the Voice America internet radio show, The Partnership of Intuition and Dreams in which she interviewed a prominent expert in the field of dreams or intuition every week for two years. A former Board Member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams, Marcia lives in Ashland.
