What happens when the life you created for yourself doesn’t come to fruition? The Dali Lama shares that happiness is a temporary condition whereas joy is a state of being. How does one rekindle joy after experiencing devastating loss? How do we reengage ourselves in the world so we are not chasing the pursuit of happiness but instead sourcing and sharing joy to recreate our next version of life?
JOY is comprised of engagement, participation, fun and play. Something that naturally happens by cultivating and sharing that which brings you joy!
Prioritizing joy by participating in meaningful activities will generate vitality to use towards life’s tasks and challenges. This infusion of sourcing and sharing joy allows us to live with greater meaning and purpose by using the energy we cultivated from our personal joy and sharing it with others.
How does one rekindle joy? One’s sense of self is enhanced when the focus is on using our gifts and skills to serve and uplift others. By adding pockets of joy in your personal life and bringing a sense of joy to what you do, you can sprinkle your life with the things that light you up.
