Workshop: Introduction to Celtic Mythology/Aromatherapy
By Mary Grant
Cost $15.00 (Includes booklet and recipe.)
Workshop Description:
" Aromatherapy Irish Style: Myth and Wisdom". The Ayurvedic perspective (the wellness and science of staying in balance with life) is linked with the ancient Irish approach to healing and well being. Over 20 years, I have developed the Pulse Oil concept. It is a systemic care of the self as a preventative, powerful healing and nurturing substance, directly from nature. My book, 'Simple Recipe Cycle/City Survival Cycle, includes aroma formula recipes and their corresponding Irish myths which will be explained in more depth in the Sat. and Sun. workshops.
Presenter's Biography:
Mary Grant is visiting from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is a certified Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer. Mary holds a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Ulster and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling in Psychotherapy and Transpersonal Counselling from the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology, in London. Her work history includes life coaching in wellness (developed by Anam Chara), and counselling in sexual abuse and transpersonal psychotherapy.
Mary began working with essential oils twenty-five years ago. Years of painstaking research of ancient herbs and the monastic alchemical tradition followed, linking Essential Oils with the Irish Mythological traditions.
Mary will present specialized knowledge about essential oil "Pulse Recipes."
These formulas are used as an aromatic art form, which surrounds, nurtures, and uplifts the user. The ingredients do not pass through pharmaceutical or cosmetic wholesalers. They are directly sourced throughout the world as therapist quality oils. No preservatives or additives are used. The recipes are truly hand crafted, out of a living tradition of twenty-five years experience and true, ancient Irish history.
Mary Grant follows in the ancient Irish tradition of the Samildanach, which follows the arts connected with light, colour, healing, and the plant life of the planet, weaving alchemical recipes of extraordinary powers. Her presentation is intended to be educational for both the novice and experienced user.
Private, personal consultations may be scheduled in Ashland, during the week of April 4-10. The fee is $75 for 1 ½-2 hours. Please call (541)-482-4686.

Workshop: Aromatherapy Wisdom and Celtic Mythology
By Mary Grant
COST: $69.00
See also: http://www.rvml.org/calendar/wc04102005.htm
Workshop Description:
This one day workshop is offered to people of all disciplines who are interested in the newly developing concepts of consciousness, energy, self-healing, and the power within the human person to move consciously into the next dimension of our being.
The workshop is set within an understanding of the perceptive storytelling of ancient Irish Mythology, which I have studied over 30 years. Many of the ancient stories have more power for our present moment than we realize from a casual reading. I have focused on the remnants of pre-history and pre-Celtic 'Old Faith' and it's unique interaction with the 'New Faith' of around 2,000years ago before it became so distorted.
Themes explored include: Meaning in the shield of pre-history; Hope with Nine Sisters of Ireland; Courage with the Ninth Wave; and Three Journeys of Transformation.. We will explore how these transformational concepts work with seeing, touching, hearing, smelling, tasting and observing how the five elements interact with our consciousness. The aroma and inner meaning of Psycho-Mythological and Transition Cycles of alchemical wreathes and recipes will be laid out before us. The three short books of "Alchemy of Remembering" will be used to expand our frame of reference.

Workshop: Anam Chara, Ancient Irish Spirituality and Ayurvedic Links
By Mary Grant
COST: $69.00
See also: http://www.rvml.org/calendar/wc04092005.htm
Workshop Description:
My more formal background comes from the Coaching Perspective view from the Family Systems Theory and my practice of Transpersonal Psychotherapy. Influenced by ancient Irish spirituality and mythology from the cradle, I began to search common roots more deeply in coming to live in Belfast 30 years ago. Could I go back far enough to find our roots and points of common origin understanding?
My discovery of Ayurveda grew out of my inner personal response to a life threatening illness and to seeking a natural Holistic, systemic medical path for what was going on inside of me. The ongoing insight is around energy that honors the language of the east and is rooted in Irish Spirituality and Mysticism, so speaks to our collective depths. I share the spirit in ways that enable people to stand on the bridge and make a personal transition to the new consciousness.
Three themes will be explored:
1 - The Wellness concept; understanding the five elements of earth, air, fire, water and ether in our energy template, thus creating a healthy environment and holistic lifestyle.
2- "Sacred Space; Ayurvedic Perspective" Energizing our personal space and living within our own energy field can prevent invasion of our personal space, creating a serious impediment to growth.
3- The Ennead: Nine Sisters of the Journey. This deeper growth journey incorporates Irish Celtic and pre-Celtic roots covering the Journey of the heart, integrity, and survival.
The Journey of the Head encompasses wisdom and wholeness. The journey of the Soul (Gut) is about unconditional love and meaning.
These aspects detail the eighth application on the Aromatherapy spectrum: to promote meaning and purpose in live. Participation is intended to help people with the flow, and direction of their lives, focusing on transformation to promote new meaning, motivation and enhanced life-style.

Lecture: Fullness - What's it all about?
By Ulla Mentzel
All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION
Presentation Description:
I tricked myself into diving deeply into the mystery of fullness this summer and have come out on the other side to tell the tale. Let me invite you to a journey via visuals and words into the realm of fullness. I will take you into your body, starting at the heart, out of your head, into your feet through jewels, fountains, tetrahedrons, bubbles, anemones, caves, and a mysterious sofa, back into your heart.
Come and let me share with you the treasures that I have found hidden in my own life's experiences that have been shaped into my first book called "Fullness No Matter What". This evening will be the official coming- out for this child of my imagination and my experience, now that my physical children have released me into the next stage of my life.
Presenter's Biography:
Born in Angola to German parents, raised in Germany and educated in the USA, I have lived a full life mainly because I get bored very, very quickly. This personality trait has kept me on my toes and always on the lookout for a new and/or different experience. That way, I managed with more or less success to dabble in being: a German poet, a woman entrepreneur in the fledgling high tech world in Germany, a media phenomenon, a philanthropist, a mother of two children, an artist, a spiritual seeker, an organizer, a relationship adventurer, an investor, an explorer in the realm of sexual and spiritual pleasures, and, last, a Sacred Sex Coach in Ashland under the name of Ulla Angola, to name just a few.
All of these experiences have filled my pitcher to the rim until it has spilled over into my latest creation that ties all of my experiences together into my forthcoming book "Fullness No Matter What". I live in the Ashland area and am available for private Sacred Sex and Fullness Coaching sessions.

Science Meets Mind and Soul in the Experience of Near Death and Past Lives-
A series of four lectures by Dr. Robert E. Ransmeier, M.Sc., Ph.D., M.D.
Presentation Description:
This series of lectures will examine the near death experience through the eyes of spontaneous experiencers as related to their physicians, and through the eyes of psychotherapists. It will also explore the descriptions of the 'Life between Lives', (the Bardo) past lives, spontaneously recalled by children and adults, and as induced by regression therapists. There is a convincing overlap of the NDE and past life descriptions. The history of mankind's belief in repeated incarnation from the Vedas, Zoroaster, Upanishads, early Christians, Buddhists, Hasidic Hebrews and Kabbalists, Sufis, and outstanding intellectuals from Plato onward will be revealed.
The personal files of Dr. Ransmeier include information on speculative physical mechanisms from holograms, layman's quantum physics, and modern systems theory. There is a possible opportunity to experience recovery of neutral or pleasant episode from past life.
Presenter's Biography:
Dr. Ransmeier has had 20 years of formal education and post-high school training. He spent 11 years as a neuro-scientist, 40 years as a physician and psychotherapist. He was a teaching Fellow of the National Institute of Mental Health, a consultant with several Federal, State and county agencies as well as being a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, Chief of Staff of an Air Force hospital and an instructor/professor at four universities.
He is a past member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, an American Associate of Advancement of Science, a Fellow of American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, NW Society of Psychiatry and Neurology, Portland Academy of Hypnosis, the Menninger Institute of Psychiatry and American Ortho-Psychiatric Association as well as a member of the Institute of Noetic Science, International Association of Age Regression Therapists and the Monroe Institute. He is a holder of the Governor's Award of Excellence in Design of State of Oregon Mental Health Clinics, a Sigma Xi, Scientific Honorary Society member, a Rosicrucian and 32 degree AF & AM.

By Iala

Showtimes: Friday 4/15/05 8:00pm & Saturday 4/16/05 8:00pm
Description:
It's a common dream.. . leaving the rat race behind and moving to a tropical island. Spending all day in a hammock. Picking fruit off the tree and maybe a little fishing at sunset. Ahh, the good life. . . !
Well, Iala actually did it! She looked her far too trusting husband, Akal, in the eye and said: "All our dreams can come true now - we don't have to wait." And he believed her!
PARaDIse 4 $Ale, Iala's one-woman "detour de tropical storm" is the result.
The show is an off-the-grid tale of an apartment-dwelling, office-working, city slicker touched by a vision and morphing overnight into a jungle jenny, earth mama, back-to-nature, hippie queen.
Iala takes us through her journey. It is not necessarily chronological or for that matter linear logical but still manages to touch on visions that just won't quit - a Near Death Experience, and close encounters of the touching kind with wolves and eccentrics. All the while she tumbles mightily from the mountain of "I know it all" to the valley of "I haven't got a clue!"
Her whimsical word weaving, skillful storytelling and vibrant energy along with her hilarious recognition of her own shortcomings keeps us willing hostages on the edges of our seats.
PARaDIse 4 $Ale is an army ant, coral snake, tin roof pounding torrent of delightful tropical overkill that leaves one happy with one's quiet, quotidian life and grateful for ones piece of the American dream.
Hurray for cell phones, satellite T.V., air conditioning and RAID!
After hearing Iala's story, life off-the-grid sounds way off the wall and a bit too one-with-nature for any sane, logical progression-of-thought, modern technophile like me.
Enjoy the trip, living vicariously through 90 deliciously manic, highly charged, "I know it all and even if you don't ask I'll tell you" minutes with Miss Iala.
PARaDIse 4 $Ale is written and performed by Iala and can be seen at The Nuwandart Gallery, 258 A Street, Suite 2, Ashland, OR on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th at 8 p.m.
Tickets are sliding fee scale $11-15 available by calling (541) 535-3525. Pre-registration recommended. Reservations email: [email protected]

Lecture: Findhorn in the 21st Century- A Model for Conscious Living
By Pamela Joy and Carl Marsak
All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION
Presentation Description:
Angels, elementals and giant vegetables, group consciousness, sacred dance and co-creating the New Age. The Findhorn Foundation has been associated with all these and more since its founding in 1962 by Eileen and Peter Caddy and Dorothy McClean. What is it that over forty years later continues to draw thousands of visitors yearly from around the world?
This question will be addressed by Pamela Joy and Carl Marsak, two former Findhorn members who have been associated with this very special community since the early '80's. Together they will present their understanding of the continued relevance of what is considered to be the world's most famous intentional spiritual community.
The evening will include a short video presentation, meditation, group participation, and a time for questions.
Topics to be addressed include:
-co-creation with nature
-building conscious community
-living lightly on the Earth
-integrating spirituality into daily life
Presenters' Biographies:

Carl Marsak lived at the Findhorn Foundation from 1983 to 1985 and has visited there repeatedly over the last 20 years, including a visit there last month. Lecture: Mayan-Style Day Counter- A Sensory Sharing of its Natural Evolvement
An Experiential Evening with Che'usa Sienna-Wend
All Tueday evening events at
RVML are FREE ADMISSION
Presentation Description:
Having danced around the idea of studying the Mayan Calendar for almost 20 years, Che'usa began in earnest to learn more about it in early 2004. What began as the study of other people's research and theories became an Adventure into a world of 'artistic energetics' and then into the evolution of a 'continuous' Mayan-Style Day Counter which can be used for any Count . . . Traditional, Dreamspell or others.
Che'usa, who sees herself more as a 'Creative' and a 'Designer' than an Artist, shares how this Adventure unfolded.
"In reading Carl Johan Calleman's book ('The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness') and looking at the book's many charts, I found myself jumping from one chart to another.
One evening after much page flipping, I thought . . . "IF ONLY there was ONE chart that encompassed the informationI keep jumping back and forth to find. . .'You guessed it! The next thing I knew I was sitting at my kitchen workspace with ruler (which I am not very good at!) and pencil in hand and a big sheet of graph paper combining information from the pages!
About 5 hours later, having coloured in boxes to my satisfaction, I had the prototype for what began a HUGE project! I photocopied off a few from the un-coloured original, hand-coloured them, and gave them to two of my friends who are also working with the Mayan Calendar information.
Just like me, they found the system to be very simple. And as I am a sort of 'See Spot, See Spot Run' kind of person, this new way of Day-Counting was grand! All I needed was a little rock (for a marker), this new chart, my 'Artistic Energetic' drawings and I was 'in tune' with the daily Energies of these magnificent Beings! What could be easier?"
Che'usa lives outside Etna, California
