Workshop: The Thirteen Considerations- An Intellectual Approach to Emotional & Spiritual Healing
Created and hosted by: Anahata Zayin ("Zane")

Free admission, donations appreciated

Workshop Description:

The Thirteen Considerations is a logical, practical system of naturally progressive thought triggers built off the action/reaction principle designed to bring attention to certain aspects present in all situations but not commonly addressed. When applied, the Thirteen Considerations help to expose an individual's negative conditioning, bring objective clarity to both past and current situations and develop better decision-making skills.

Key Benefits:

~Assists those willing to confront and resolve their personal Truth within the privacy of their own conscience.

~Is supremely unique and applicable to each individual regardless of personal beliefs and convictions.

~With practice, trains the mind to view situations from a more spherical perspective allowing more accurate overall perceptions and a healthier perspective of life and self.

~Allows one to explore and examine possible options to potential actions before action is taken- even if circumstances require immediate action, to better define and achieve desired end results.

~Teaches how to separate thoughts from emotions and filter out unnecessary and inapplicable elements of each, yielding a greater understanding of ourselves, our inner processing mechanisms and how these things manifest in our lives.

~Affords the benefits of hindsight in the present.

~Instills an inner sense of personal responsibility and collective accountability.

~Eventually allows the adoption of Principles of Existence greater than those currently in affect.

***********************************************************************************************

The conditionings of society and society's conditions have taught us, out of necessity, to view life from very selfish eyes. Generally, we as humans take only ourselves and our own feelings into consideration in reaction to life's circumstances. We perceive things happening to us as opposed to with us, resulting in more defensive, self-serving reactions. Often, though, in retrospect we find ourselves saying, "If I only knew then what I know now," implying that our resulting perceptions are often quite different from our initial ones. Perhaps we would have made better decisions or taken a different action that would have better served us, and more likely than not (and more importantly), served the situation better as well.

The Thirteen Considerations help us to connect related, sequential events in our lives by deconstructing and considering the common elements, then identifying the particular associations to each, in each situation. By applying these thirteen simple, common words to past events (at first), one defines a situation from their current understanding of it in ways they may never have thought to, resulting in a broader, more comprehensive, objective perspective. If we teach ourselves to consider these aspects while in the Moment, we will be able to better define that Moment and actively participate and navigate within it to its greatest advantage as it unfolds.

Please bring a pen, an open mind and something to lean on.
