Lecture: The Non-Local Mind In A Holographic Universe
By Richard Alan Miller

Free admission, donations welcome.

Presentation Description:

Author & researcher Richard Alan Miller reveals a wealth and depth of knowledge and experience in three major fields; Alternative Agriculture, New Age Physics, and Metaphysics. Before many leading edge concepts became trendy topics, Miller was (and is) in the international front lines of research, experimentation and documentation.

His focus on botanicals made him the leading world authority on herb farming, processing and marketing. With numerous books, bi-lines and websites, Miller's visionary work with Alternative Agriculture continues to be 20 years ahead including concepts such as sustainability, intercropping, and Forest Farming.

Taking a step behind the scenes of "black ops" research is for most of us limited to speculations. Miller began working in that "X-Files" world in the 60s and has amazing experiences and conclusions to share. An original team-member, "man-in-black," Miller's research in the field of Parapsychology & Paraphysics began as a graduate physicist working 10 years with Army Intel/Pentagon.

During this period numerous foundational papers, including "A Holographic Concept of Reality" and "Embryonic Holography" were written. Richard Alan Miller's most recent work, "Synthetic Telepathy and the Early Mind Wars" discusses how some of his earlier work contributed to new "mind altering" technologies and their current applications.

His most recent works at Nexus Conferences in Brisbane, 2004 and Amsterdam, 2005 was titled "The Non-Local Mind In A Holographic Universe." He also has semi-technical papers to be presented in Anaheim at The World Nutra Conference in October, 2005. Title: "Lab-Grown Cordyceps sinsensis Hybrid: A Nano-Processed Medicinal Mushroom that Really Delivers."

Offering fresh perspectives on Metaphysical traditions his books, papers & articles integrate his scientific research with time-honored metaphysical concepts, leading to such works as The Modern Alchemist; A Guide to Personal Transformation and The Diamond Body, a Synergetic Approach to Mysticism.

He brings a similar integration to The Magical & Ritual Use of Herbs and The Magical & Ritual use of Aphrodisiacs. Miller is listed in Who's Who in the World, America, and the West.

Author of many books and papers including:

THE ENERGIES OF CONSCIOUSNESS, 1975
PSYCHOENERGETIC SYSTEMS, 1979
THE MAGICAL MUSHROOM HANDBOOK, 1977
THE MAGICAL AND RITUAL USE OF HERBS, 1978
THE MAGICAL AND RITUAL USE OF HERBS, 1983
THE POTENTIAL OF HERBS AS A CASH CROP, 1985

First Friday Artwalk: "A Fine Farewell"-

A Collection of Alternative Burial Containers and Silk Burial Sh

By Marian Spadone (runs 11/4-11/29)

My name is Marian Spadone, and what I do is assist people, through education, information and guidance, to reclaim the loving act of caring for the dead and creating home funerals. I also make hand painted silk and linen burial shrouds.

Until only 2 or 3 generations ago, most families took charge of caring for their own dead. Now, with our culture's increasing emphasis on professionalism, we have been made to think that friends or family members don't know how or aren't "allowed" to care for a body after death. We think a body must be embalmed for sanitary reasons. We think that there's only one kind of container to be buried in, called a casket, which must be bought at a funeral home. None of this is true!

I am deeply called to this work. I want to encourage people to take on this blessed and potent experience rather than handing it over automatically to "the professionals". Participating in this way can engage the grieving process profoundly and speed healing and acceptance of all of the losses in our lives.

All of my shrouds and many other alternative burial containers and funerary art will be on display at the gallery so it will be a good chance to see all of that. In addition, I'll be sharing information, a suggested reading and internet resource list, a video and hopefully some personal stories and discussion from the audience. I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

Presentation Description:

READ FREDDY SILVA'S ARTICLE IN SENTIENT TIMES!

An extensive, ground-breaking 2-hour lecture and slide presentation by leading British crop circle authority Freddy Silva followed by Q&A period.

As science has discovered, the seemingly physical world is in fact a complex array of spinning frequencies. Our ancestors were well aware of this, and as such they built colossal monuments of stone across the Earth, at locations where the magnetic properties of nature are enhanced, facilitating altered states of awareness and communication with more refined levels of 'reality'.

The early Church recognised the importance of such sites, to the degree that it superimposed its own houses of the holy upon them - the Gothic cathedrals, in particular. In fact, temples such as Stonehenge are not located haphazardly: they strategically mark the crossing points of an invisible, yet measurable, electro-magnetic grid that encircles the Earth - points where the planet's 'data storage' can be accessed.

Or influenced.

Since the late 19th Century, mysterious crop circles have materialised with ever increasing frequency beside these ancient markers in 28 countries. What's more, these rhythmic designs, too, are aligned strategically along the same grid, and in the process have begun waking sites that have lain dormant for centuries.

So, what on Earth is going on?

The result of a decade of research, this ground-breaking lecture connects a myriad of seemingly unconnected fragments, revealing a picture that is stranger than fiction: that crop circles contain measurable energetic properties which influence the rhythms of the human body, its brainwave patterns, even consciousness itself.

And they are altering the chromosomes of plants, even encoding the very water we drink.

This lecture is a reminder of where we come from and a signpost to where we are headed.

Presenter's Biography:

Freddy Silva is one of the world's leading experts on crop circles and sacred space, and best-selling author of Secrets in the Fields: The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles, hailed by many as the most comprehensive book ever written on this fascinating and multi-disciplinary phenomenon.

He is a researcher, international lecturer, and a life-long student of Earth Mysteries, Sacred Space and ancient systems of knowledge. Freddy has appeared in TV documentaries for The History Channel and Discovery Channel, as well as numerous video documentaries, and guested on radio shows throughout the US.

Copies of Freddy Silva's book and video will be available for signing.

Lecture: "A Fine Farewell"- Home Funerals and Green Burial
By Marian Spadone

Free admission, donations welcome.

Note: See Marian's November Art Exhibit at RVML opening Nov. 4 from 5:00 - 8:00pm

Presentation Description:

*Did you know that in every state, a family member or friend has the right to act as the funeral director for a loved one who has died?

*Did you know that embalming is not a legal mandate or necessity?

*Did you know that burying an embalmed body transfers gallons of toxic chemicals directly into the earth.

*Did you know that dry ice may be used by a family to preserve an unembalmed body long enough for home funerals, wakes, and ceremonies?

*Did you know that with the proper permits, you could transport a body home from a hospital or to a cemetery in your own vehicle?

If you are intrigued, read on!

Sean Simms
Workshop: Introduction to Ceremonial Consciousness: Love and Fear
By Sean Simms

Dates: Thursday, Nov. 10th and 24th , 2005

Cost: $3 to $5 suggested donation to cover room cost and materials.

Presentation Description:

Ceremonial Consciousness is a grounded Earth-based way for us to meet in a loving circle that is centered between love and fear. It allows one to choose appropriate actions without being overwhelmed by emotions. Traveling around the spiral of the nautilus shell, it detoxifies our linear perceptions of the world and provides us with a place where we can feel brotherhood with all our relations.

Ceremonial Consciousness uses techniques that combine ancient ancestral teachings with modern transpersonal psychology and emotional processing. It allows one to access their genetic psychology by Descending Now to our Ancestors. (DNA)

Examples of Ceremonial Consciousness teachings: Judgmental thoughts come from the fear of intimacy, guilty feelings come from the fear that our love is too big and manipulation comes from our fear of feeling innocent.

We will examine and explore these issues by using guidance from our natural relatives and the environment around us. We will learn to let the sun answer our questions, that the ocean is not threatened by how much pleasure one feels and that fox kits tumble and play when all is well.

Classes meet the Second and Fourth Thursdays of the Month at RVML and are a combination of lecture and group interaction. November's 24th's topic will be Giving and Taking: Giving thanks to our ancestors and all our relations.

Presenter's Biography:

Sean Simms, B.A., has been an apprentice of the shaman, Makawa, the creator of Ceremonial Consciousness, for ten years. He has been a counselor in Juvenile Hall, taught energy healing and meditation and given psychic and tarot card readings since 1995. Makawa has asked him to share her teachings with the world.

Anahata Zayin (
Workshop: The Thirteen Considerations- An Intellectual Approach to Emotional & Spiritual Healing
Created and hosted by: Anahata Zayin ("Zane")

Free admission, donations appreciated

Workshop Description:

The Thirteen Considerations is a logical, practical system of naturally progressive thought triggers built off the action/reaction principle designed to bring attention to certain aspects present in all situations but not commonly addressed. When applied, the Thirteen Considerations help to expose an individual's negative conditioning, bring objective clarity to both past and current situations and develop better decision-making skills.

Key Benefits:

~Assists those willing to confront and resolve their personal Truth within the privacy of their own conscience.

~Is supremely unique and applicable to each individual regardless of personal beliefs and convictions.

~With practice, trains the mind to view situations from a more spherical perspective allowing more accurate overall perceptions and a healthier perspective of life and self.

~Allows one to explore and examine possible options to potential actions before action is taken- even if circumstances require immediate action, to better define and achieve desired end results.

~Teaches how to separate thoughts from emotions and filter out unnecessary and inapplicable elements of each, yielding a greater understanding of ourselves, our inner processing mechanisms and how these things manifest in our lives.

~Affords the benefits of hindsight in the present.

~Instills an inner sense of personal responsibility and collective accountability.

~Eventually allows the adoption of Principles of Existence greater than those currently in affect.

***********************************************************************************************

The conditionings of society and society's conditions have taught us, out of necessity, to view life from very selfish eyes. Generally, we as humans take only ourselves and our own feelings into consideration in reaction to life's circumstances. We perceive things happening to us as opposed to with us, resulting in more defensive, self-serving reactions. Often, though, in retrospect we find ourselves saying, "If I only knew then what I know now," implying that our resulting perceptions are often quite different from our initial ones. Perhaps we would have made better decisions or taken a different action that would have better served us, and more likely than not (and more importantly), served the situation better as well.

The Thirteen Considerations help us to connect related, sequential events in our lives by deconstructing and considering the common elements, then identifying the particular associations to each, in each situation. By applying these thirteen simple, common words to past events (at first), one defines a situation from their current understanding of it in ways they may never have thought to, resulting in a broader, more comprehensive, objective perspective. If we teach ourselves to consider these aspects while in the Moment, we will be able to better define that Moment and actively participate and navigate within it to its greatest advantage as it unfolds.

Please bring a pen, an open mind and something to lean on.

Workshop: Would You Like a Simple Effective Tool to Reach Enlightenment in this Lifetime?
With Draupadi Ishaya

Description:

Enlightenment is most easily defined by its opposite, ignorance. We ignore that we are already free. believe we are limited. We ignore we are completely loveable, believe we are unworthy. This evening introduces a way to move beyond our limitations.

The Ishayas; Ascension is a simple, effortless, yet profoundly effective tool for removing the barriers that prevent us from experiencing our true selves. It naturally points us to the direct, personal experience of our infinite nature.

There will be plenty of space for Q&A.

You will be spending and enlivening evening with 2 teachers of ascension. What they look like or their stories matter little, for this is not a guru driven movement. The art of ascension points you back to your own heart.

Dr. Joyce Patten
Lecture: John of God: The Renown Brazilian Spiritual Healer
By Dr. Joyce Patten

Free admission, donations welcome.

Presentation Description:

John of God is unquestionably one of the world's most powerful spiritual healers living today. People seek him out for all sorts of ailments, from cancer, paralysis, MS, and muscular dystrophy, to back pain, asthma, allergies, and arthritis. John's basic message is that love is the source of all true healing. His healing sanctuary located in Abadiania, Brazil, is affectionately called "The Casa", and receives thousands of people each week. He has treated more than 17 million people, never taking a cent for the work that he gives with so much love and compassion.

John of God (Joao de Deus) does 2 different types of surgeries: invisible (or psychic) and visible. Joyce received a number of invisible surgeries, and at her request, viewed Joao, at his side, performing visible surgeries. She will recount her perceptions of these amazing phenomena.

Joyce also experienced the Crystal Light Bath treatments that he prescribes for many of his seekers. Recognizing the healing potential of the Crystal Bath, Dr. Patten brought one back to Ashland, so that she could not only use it herself, but offer its miracles to our community. It is a complex set-up of quartz crystals, each illuminated by a light source, that allows each crystal to be situated over a chakra. The seven major chakras are illuminated, in a session that lasts about 40 minutes. John of God told Dr. Patten that the Crystal Light Bath channels the Entities whom he channels, This Crystal Light Healing Therapy harmonizes the chakras and subtle energy bodies, rejuvenates the many different systems of the physical body, re-balances the electromagnetic field frequencies, and stimulates the development of inner spiritual awareness. Many people feel more in touch with their spiritual guides and guidance during and after a session, and some people have recounted feeling another presence in the roo
m working with them physically or energetically.

Dr. Patten will share some of the beautiful and inspiring experiences that she had at the Casa with John of God, and continues to have, through her work with the Crystal Light Bath. She speaks Portuguese fluently and will be leading small groups to see John of God in January, March, August and October of 2006. Private trips may also be arranged.

Presenter's Biography:

Dr. Joyce Patten has been studying healing for 30 years. She has an unusual background of having lived, studied, worked and taught in the Far East, Micronesia, and South America. She has been a chiropractor for 17 years, practicing for 14 years in Ashland, and 3 years in Brazil. Taking people to see Joao de Deus is a mission which she received, and that she does with great joy.

Meeting: The Book of Revelation, presented by astrologer Don Cerow
at the monthly meeting of Astrology in Ashland, The Southern Oregon Chapter of the
National Council for Geocosmic Research (SONCGR*)

$5 General Public, $4 Seniors (62+), $3 NCGR Member

Description:

Revelation 4:1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in Heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voice like a trumpet, saying, "Come up here; I will show you what is to come in the future."

Building upon the themes presented in Myths, Stars and Dragons, the mysteries of this final book of the New Testament are opened to reveal an amazing story of the future as foreseen from the first century AD. While the message of the Letters to the Seven Churches and the Secrets of the Seven Seals is laid bare, a new enigma is revealed as we find ourselves now standing at the very gates of Omega, described by Revelation as 'the end'.

The Book of Revelation is the story of the Age of Pisces, and it is all laid out along astrological guidelines, as intentionally encrypted by the authors of this legendary work. It coincidentally coincides with predictions for the Mayan calendar for 2012. Help unravel the threads of this, the most mythic book of the entire Bible.

Don Cerow Bio: An astrologer since 1972, Don holds a BA from the UMass where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Classics, and a minor in Astrology in the Ancient World. He later continued his graduate work at both Boston University and Brandeis. Author of the weekly column, Athena's Web, which currently is carried on-line and by the Amherst Bulletin, Don has also written and produced shows for radio and television, and has also helped produce two shows for Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has a video available for purchase called Myths, Dragons, and the Ages which is about the sources of many of our astronomical myths, and why they held meaning for those observing the skies.

If you would like to be added to Astrology in Ashland's event notification email list, or have any questions or comments, please contact Steve Wolfson at 201-0825, or by email to steve@stevewolfson.com. Our website is www.astrologyinashland.org.
We welcome your input and encourage you to join us and find out more about the planets and how they affect our lives.

*SONCGR is a community of people who share an interest in Astrology.

Sean Simms
Workshop: Ceremonial Consciousness- Thanksgiving Day Healing Circle

Lecture: Sufism - A Universal View
By Khalil Elliott

Free admission, donations welcome.

Presentation Description:

Khalil Elliot of Ashland Sufi Heart Circle will offer an overview of his line of Sufism and of historical Sufism. During the introductory portion of the evening, Khalil will read the group and direct the remainder of the evening to what is being asked for on the subtle levels. Rather than using an outline or a syllabus, Khalil will work from guidance in the moment. So come - we will move together to quiet the mind and awaken the heart.
