Lecture: John of God: The Renown Brazilian Spiritual Healer

Presentation Description:
John of God is unquestionably one of the world's most powerful spiritual healers living today. People seek him out for all sorts of ailments, from cancer, paralysis, MS, and muscular dystrophy, to back pain, asthma, allergies, and arthritis. John's basic message is that love is the source of all true healing. His healing sanctuary located in Abadiania, Brazil, is affectionately called "The Casa", and receives thousands of people each week. He has treated more than 17 million people, never taking a cent for the work that he gives with so much love and compassion.
John of God (Joao de Deus) does 2 different types of surgeries: invisible (or psychic) and visible. Joyce received a number of invisible surgeries, and at her request, viewed Joao, at his side, performing visible surgeries. She will recount her perceptions of these amazing phenomena.
Joyce also experienced the Crystal Light Bath treatments that he prescribes for many of his seekers. Recognizing the healing potential of the Crystal Bath, Dr. Patten brought one back to Ashland, so that she could not only use it herself, but offer its miracles to our community. It is a complex set-up of quartz crystals, each illuminated by a light source, that allows each crystal to be situated over a chakra. The seven major chakras are illuminated, in a session that lasts about 40 minutes. John of God told Dr. Patten that the Crystal Light Bath channels the Entities whom he channels, This Crystal Light Healing Therapy harmonizes the chakras and subtle energy bodies, rejuvenates the many different systems of the physical body, re-balances the electromagnetic field frequencies, and stimulates the development of inner spiritual awareness. Dr. Patten will share some of the beautiful and inspiring experiences that she had at the Casa with John of God, and continues to have, through her work with the Crystal Light Bath. She speaks Portuguese fluently and will be leading small groups to see John of God in January, March, August and October of 2006. Private trips may also be arranged.
Presenter's Biography:
Dr. Joyce Patten has been studying healing for 30 years. She has an unusual background of having lived, studied, worked and taught in the Far East, Micronesia, and South America. She has been a chiropractor for 17 years, practicing for 14 years in Ashland, and 3 years in Brazil. Taking people to see Joao de Deus is a mission which she received, and that she does with great joy.
