Workshop: It's All In Your Hands and Your Heart
By Valerie Muroki

$5 General Admission; $4 for Seniors (62+)

Workshop Description:

Rather than believing other people hold the keys to our health and wellbeing, we can learn to use what we already have -- our hands and our hearts (our good-hearted intent) -- to heal ourselves and support our loved ones. Valerie, an advanced practitioner of The TARA Approach, will share an overview of this always growing and vital way of treating our disharmonies and illnesses that combines ancient Eastern energy medicine, called Jin Shin, and modern Western neuropsychology and the latest understanding of shock and trauma. She will help solve the seeming mysteries of our bodies' energy meridians and help you experience treating your meridians through your hands.

Presenter's Biography:

Valerie Muroki has practiced the Tara Approach, Jorei, hypnotherapy or other healing modalities over most of the 30+ years she lived on Maui. A recent Ashland transplant, she eagerly offers to share her knowledge and experience, both as a teacher and an Advanced Practitioner of the Tara Approach.

Valerie has been deeply involved in her community as a court-appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children and a facilitator for family decision making sessions, which include members of Child Protective Services and service providers for the families. She has headed a youth service center on Maui, trained teenagers to be peer mediators, and taught English as a Second Language. As an investigative reporter for a local newspaper she won an award for a series of articles spotlighting the misdeeds of a developer. These and other careers, after she spent an adventurous two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, have made for a rich and rewarding life.

Interesting people, fascinating information and "extra-ordinary" conversation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

In this interactive forum, participants gain an ever-broadening understanding of being human while navigating the complexities of the greater reality. In contrast to a typical discussion forum, participants are encouraged to explore ideas from a metaphysical perspective, where no idea is too far-out!

Utilizing intellect and intuition, participants explore: What is our purpose for existence? Where did we come from? How do our souls come into being? What is the triune nature of mind?
