Facilitators' Biography:

Dominic Allamano is a passionate and potent voice of the emerging visionary generation, inspiring others to shine their light brightly by boldly and humbly shining his. Since his late teens, when he began to see clearly following life altering physical trauma, he has focused his energies in two interrelated realms. The first is the realms of experiential education and explorations of the embodiment of consciousness, while the second is in a deep exploration of the sociological and systemic elements of the dominant world culture. The merging of these two realms has allowed him to perceive many of the key patterns and dynamics that define today's world and hold the promise for tomorrow's.

He feels called to be as a midwife to the emerging culture, assisting both in its birth and development as well as in the navigation of the unforeseen consequences of humanity's past choices, which are defining the context for that emergence. Through extensive travels and speaking around the Pacific Northwest he has aligned with an inspired network of allies with whom he is crafting new paradigm networks and tools like the WorldCrafter's Network (http://www.worldcrafters.org) and CultureSeed (http://www.cultureseed.org) to support the emergence of this new culture.

Lecture: Emotional Body Enlightenment & the Path of Spiritual Maturity
By Mark Shapiro

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome

Presentation Description:

Emotional Body Enlightenment is a rigorous, shadow confronting, emoto-spiritual dharma that offers a way to heal wound-based energetic and emotional layers that have been artificially wrapped around our core goodness as sentient beings because of millennia old misunderstandings of what love is and what constitutes effective parenting.

-What if the You that's been seeking is actually what's in the way of your fulfillment?

-What if there were an emotional body architecture as universal as our anatomy?

-What if these two ideas were the keys to addressing the challenges of intimacy, the limits of therapy, and why so few people become enlightened?

Join Mark Shapiro as he presents how EBE sees the universal architecture of our emotional body, the origin of existential wounding, the path to heal it, and Theohumanity as the original blueprint for all other world views, a Metaphysical Unified Field Theory with the breadth & depth to bring all consciousness and healing practices under one umbrella to completion.

The key to this model and its ability to expose the limitations of all other paradigms is the Strategic Self. This is the defensed, closed-hearted version of ourselves which had to arise because our parents were unable to feel what we were feeling while we were feeling it. EBE offers, for the first time in history, a way to access the Strategic Self within the heretofore undiscovered emotional body so that the Authentic Self can take over as boss of being.

The spiritual ramifications of this are profound. EBE offers that unless an individual has painstakingly deconstructed their Strategic Self, then all spiritual pursuits have been attempts at alleviating suffering by that false Self, and is therefore a never-ending quest for pain relief that actually empowers the Strategic Self, rather than a productive path to heal the source of why we suffer over our suffering which empowers the Authentic Self.

The difference is far beyond semantics: an Authentic Self who is human first and spiritual second is eminently more capable and can access much more deeply mental-body Buddhistic Enlightenment and actually abide with the Living God. Until now, this has been metaphysically impossible much less embodiable via a specific practice. Theohumanity offers a map to attain Enheartenment, the triple enlightenment of the emotional, mental, and etheric/chakral bodies, a state never before defined.

Only an Authentic Self, arisen from the ashes of the Strategic Self burned up through emotional body enlightenment practice, can be a divine human, bringing the emotional body with and into its spiritual endeavors rather than using spirituality as a sophisticated heart-wall at best, or as is so common, a designer drug.

Special Encore Presentation: At Risk- Ashland's Water
("THIRST" Documentary Video and Discussion)
Hosted by Art Bullock

Admission: $5.00 - $20.00 suggested contribution, no one turned away.

Event Description:

The highly acclaimed documentary Thirst shows what happens when cities privatize their water supply or water works. Thirst tells the stories of Cochabamba, Bolivia and Stockton, California, asking the key question: Is water a human right, or a commodity to be bought and sold in the global marketplace?

A handful of multinational corporations are buying water systems worldwide as a business strategy. Cities pressed for revenue sell their water systems and transfer management and/or control of municipal water to these corporations. This informative movie shows the politics and power of water. It will change how you think about water and city government.

We'll explore how these dynamics affect Ashland following the video.

More information: http://www.AshlandConstitution.org and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OfThePeople

Video Description:

Is water part of a shared "commons", a human right for all people? Or is it a commodity to be bought, sold, and traded in a global marketplace? THIRST tells the stories of communities in Bolivia, India, and the United States that are asking these fundamental questions, as water becomes the most valuable global resource of the 21st Century.

A character-driven documentary with no narration, THIRST reveals how the debate over water rights between communities and corporations can serve as a catalyst for explosive and steadfast resistance to globalization.

Reviews:

"THIRST is a provocative portrayal in stark human terms of current battles over water privatization. Communities rise in protest; corporate interests seem to turn a deaf ear. Can there be a middle ground? THIRST provides a passionate jumping off point for a debate that is just beginning." Tom Graff, Environmental Defense

"THIRST brilliantly dramatizes a potential threat of great enormity. A careful and deeply disturbing film about the threat to human safety and survival worldwide by corporate attempts to privatize the earth's water supplies." Norris Hundley, author, The Great Thirst and Professor Emeritus of History, UCLA

"A moving and inspiring film about one of the biggest water issues of our day...it sounds a clarion call for citizens and governments to reaffirm that water is a public trust, not a commodity to be exploited for private profit. I hope THIRST is viewed widely, discussed at town meetings and in legislative debates, and that it energizes citizen involvement in water decisions. A powerful -- and needed -- film." Sandra Postel, Director, Global Water Policy Project

"Do you know who controls your water? You'd better find out. As this powerful film shows, it may already be a private corporation run from afar. THIRST challenges apathy and ignorance about our most precious resource and shows how every citizen's voice can, indeed must, make a difference. See this film, and be inspired to act." Peter H. Gleick, 2003 MacArthur Fellow and author, The World's Water

"THIRST is a remarkable film. The looming freshwater crisis is the greatest environmental and human rights crisis of our time. Not surprisingly, the move is on by powerful corporations and governments to commodify and cartelize the world's water supplies for power and profit. THIRST is the story of this assault and the fight to stop it." Maude Barlow, National Chair, Council of Canadians and Co-author, with Tony Clarke, Blue Gold, The Fight to Stop Corporate Theft of the World's Water

"Beautiful and engaging..." Carl Pope, Sierra Club Executive Director

"THIRST is an important and timely film, and vividly illustrates the human costs of commodifying a most basic human right -- water. From women in India struggling to care for their families in the absence of fresh water and adequate sanitation to the people of Stockton, California, fighting to maintain control over their water resources, THIRST tells a powerful story of resistance and survival." California State Senator Liz Figueroa (D, Fremont) Chair, Select Committee on International Trade Policy Chair

"THIRST beautifully shows how the labor movement can work closely with community groups and the environmental movement to defend public jobs and the public trust. Struggles for control of water could become the focus for creative new coalitions to reverse the tide of privatization." Peter Olney, Institute for Labor and Employment, University of California

"THIRST is a transformative experience. As patrons left the theater, it was clear that the entertainment they had witnessed had progressed to education, visual beauty to substantive understanding. They had been fulfilled and motivated, their minds engaged and expanded. Despite the fact that the issues raised often inflame the passions, audience members felt they had grown without rancor, moved forward without leaving any players or arguments behind." Professor Robert Benedetti, Executive Director, Jacoby Center for Regional and Community Studies, University of the Pacific

"THIRST documents how power, politics and money all combine in the raging international debate about water policy. The underlying issues of community versus corporate control are remarkably similar whether in India or the United States. The control of water may be responsible for more political, economic and even military clashes in the 21st century than was oil in the 20th." Congressman George Miller (D-7, California) Former Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources

"Surprisingly captivating...unlike so many other documentaries about multinationals -- documentaries that tend to be overbearingly supercilious and contemptuous -- THIRST simply lets the story tell itself...THIRST is like a message in a bottle sent from the future. It tells the beginning of what could be one of the major political and economic issues to shape the next century. Don't say they didn't warn you." Phil Busse--The Portland Mercury

"THIRST gives you dry mouth." Matthew Hirsch, San Francisco Bay Guardian

"Another smart bottom-to-top take on complexly related racial, economic, legislative, and individual issues. The crux here: can water access remain 'part of the global commons' everyone should have free access to, or is it doomed to become an economic commodity bought and sold like any other?...This important and engrossing film provides a spur to activism that no one should ignore, unless they're rich enough in obliviousness to propose, 'Let them drink sake.'" Dennis Harvey, San Francisco Bay Guardian

"By showing how activists in Stockton, Cochabamba and India are all...thinking globally but acting locally, Snitow and Kaufman give us a provocative look at the current and coming water wars...After seeing THIRST it will be hard to ever take water for granted." Jonathan Curiel, San Francisco Chronicle

"A groundbreaking and provocative new film about the rush to privatize what the filmmakers rightly define as the very essence of life." Silja J.A. Talvi, AlterNet

"THIRST insightfully and thoroughly explores the contentious issues surrounding water privatization, showing us that it's not merely a Third World concern but a dark and growing trend right here in our own backyard." Shannon Abel, HOT DOCS Canadian International Documentary Festival

"A compelling study of corporate greed, exploitation of the disadvantaged, and volatile uprising among civic-minded protestors demanding equal voice in a controversial issue...A valuable tool for awareness and activism, especially in water rich communities that could become the next battleground for the public's right to water, THIRST deserves to be seen by all who drink, flush, and cook with life's most essential element. Highly recommended." Video Librarian

Lecture: A Healer's Odyssey
By Dr. Saul Shaye

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome

Presentation Description:

Dr. Shaye explains and gives examples of how we can take charge of our lives physically, mentally, and spiritually and how dreams can give you insight into each - 90% of your well-being is up to you!

This presentation is on spiritual healing is the story of his own spiritual transformation from atheist to spiritual healer. "Although I call myself a healer, this is a misnomer, as a healer is a conduit for Spirit to work through." Dr. Shaye gives all credit to God for each and every miracle he has witnessed. He will share how God awakened him through dreams and inner guidance to the awareness of his "gift" from 1973 to the present. Volunteers are used to demonstrate the chronological unfolding of the healing. Some participants have seen a golden stream of light radiating from Dr. Shaye's hands as he works.

Numerous miraculous cases will be presented to get people to stretch their beliefs so they will be more receptive when he does a group healing at the end of the workshop. The evening will be very motivating and inspiring, letting people know that we all have gifts of spirit and humor.

Presenter's Biography:

After surviving a near fatal motorcycle accident at age 20, Dr. Shaye's life took an abrupt turn. He left his home in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Monroe, Louisiana, where he earned his undergraduate degree and worked on his masters in vertebrate zoology at Northeast Louisiana University.

In 1973, while Dr. Shaye was working on his doctorate in chiropractic in Iowa, he attended a workshop on psychic diagnosis, intent on disproving the technique. After attending the workshop, Dr. Shaye found to his surprise that he, too, could read and diagnose by sensing energy fields. This led him in 1975 to the Edgar Cayce Book, "There Is A River," at which time he became convinced of the existence of spirit.

Spiritual matters then became the most important part of his life and his knowledge of reading energy fields has grown with the years. In 1980, through inner guidance, he discovered that he could "channel" energy to treat people chiropractically, without physical contact. He has learned from sensitives that he is channeling a form of spiritual energy which is seen by some psychics as a golden light flowing from his hands and surrounding the patient's body during diagnosis and treatment. The energy affects the etheric body, which transforms and heals the physical body. Initially Dr. Shaye only realigned the spine by energy, but he has since discovered that he could treat a host of ailments.

Dreams have played a major part in the unfolding of Dr. Shaye's spiritual abilities. He has recorded over 16,000 of his dreams since 1975. Dreams have shown him how to manipulate energy fields in several different ways, with each new step appearing when he was ready to receive it.

Besides operating the Shaye Chiropractic Clinic from 1975 to 1993, Dr. Shaye has been lecturing on healing, wellness and dreams, both in the United States and in seven other countries. He has written articles on healing, health, and dreams and has been an avid sports participant in track, weight lifting, body building and karate. He is author of "He Who Walks on Two Worlds", the "Two Worlds" audio tape series and creator of the "Dream Cards".

Free Lecture: Your Blood Doesn't Lie
By Jim Jordan

Free lecture with Q&A period and free toxic load assessment questionnaire

Presentation Description:

Learn how to reach optimal health by applying universally true principles of nutrition, detoxification and movement. Health problems and lack of vital energy are a result of three factors:

1) Inadequate Nutrition
2) Accumulation of toxins in the body's cells, tissues and organs
3) Stagnation of energy, blood and lymph from lack of proper movement

What if:

-You could see with your own eyes the chemicals and heavy metals in your blood, the effects of toxins on your cells and you could remove them with simple formulas?

- You could find out which of the dozens of diets are right for your individual body chemistry?

-You could feel energized by movement/exercise instead of feeling depleted?

Come to this free presentation by Jim Jordan, former Chicago-area nutritional and detoxification consultant who has recently opened a new office in Ashland. Jim will outline a plan that has helped many hundreds of clients revitalize their whole being: mind, body and spirit.

Presenter's Biography:

As a certified nutritional consultant, trained in live blood cell microscopy by Natural Health Specialists and NuLife Sciences, and a nutritional consultant I have helped many thousands of people to improve their health. I am Also a certified Metabolic Typing Advisor and have specialized training in reading and interpreting hair mineral analysis reports.

I graduated from Loyola University School of Law and was licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois in 1986. I practiced law on and off from 1987 to 1993.
My interest in natural healing began as a result of my six-year battle with chronic illness. During this time, from 1984 to 1990, I saw dozens of health care practitioners, both conventional and unconventional. I was diagnosed with a variety of illnesses including food allergies, chronic candida, chronic fatigue syndrome and toxic metal poisoning.
By 1989, I had made little progress and had almost given up hope. It was during this time that a life-changing shift in my understanding of healing occurred: a combination of natural therapies that addressed underlying toxicities, deficiencies and emotional challenges is what helped me break through years of struggle, and I was finally able to regain my health.

After regaining my health, I felt compelled to share this message of healing with clients from my legal practice, friends, family, even complete strangers. From this point on my life took a new path into the field of natural healing.

In 1996, I began my professional career as a nutritional therapist and live cell microscopist. Most recently, I was on staff at The Optimal Wellness Center, the largest holistic medical clinic in the Chicago area from June 2000 through January of 2004.
For two years, I had a private practice in Oak Park, Illinois offering health and wellness seminars and trainings to health care practitioners in live cell microscopy. Beginning in 2007, I opened a private nutrition consulting practice in Ashland, Oregon.

My ongoing education includes a doctoral program in natural healing. I am also completing my naturopathic degree from the Clayton College of Natural Heath.
I have also been a featured nutrition and alternative health care expert on Channel 7 news in Chicago (the local affiliate of ABC) covering areas ranging from public health and safety to tips for healthy eating while traveling.

Meditation with Swami K.M. Tayumanever (Swami Ty)

November 17, 2007 and December 15, 2007 7pm-9pm

Free admission, donations appreciated, everyone welcome.

Description:

Swami K. M. Tayumanavar (Swami Ty for short.), and the Jothy Marga Meditation group have been quietly meditating in Ashland for about 15 years, have recently decided to go a bit more public.

Swami Ty is an accessible teacher of meditation. He was under formal discipline for 15 years with a traditional Yoga Order. He lived and taught in India, Sri Lanka, Switzerland and Hawaii. A tradition in his order was that sometime after 12 years one had to decide to go on retreat, or leave and teach others. Swami was planning on retreat, but felt a call to go out and make some of the ancient teachings a bit more available in the West.

We ask questions of Swami for a while. Nothing is off limits, but we try to keep it spiritual. Then Swami leads a meditation using a mantram language that is mostly unknown in the west, but is a very powerful tool for self-exploration even when first introduced to it.

If you are having fun, you are doing it right. We wish to help people become whole in body, emotion, mind, and spirit. We are all in this together and the more we can get a degree of enlightenment in the world the transitions now underway will be easier.

There is never a charge for these teachings, however Swami puts out his begging bowl and hopes to receive enough to pay for gas food and rent of the room. He lives in the Northern California Desert, about 3 1/2 hours away by truck.

Free Lecture: Feminine Mysticism in Art- Artists Envisioning the Divine
By Victoria Christian

Free admission

Description:

The event will feature a multi-media slideshow presentation of over 65 contemporary visionary artists and mystics from all over the United States. It will also be a promotional party for Victoria Christian's new book titled, Feminine Mysticism in Art: Artists Envisioning the Divine. This colorful and inspirational coffee table book is a stunning collaboration of visual works of art by contemporary mystics and writers from an assortment of spiritual traditions.

The artwork alone is unique, exquisite, political and provocative, communicating a message of hope for the postmodern era. In addition, the diversity of writings and poetry by experts in women's spirituality, eco-feminism, transcendental art and transpersonal psychology provide a conceptual foundation for the images, facilitating a sacred alchemy of mind, heart, body and spirit. The mission of the book is to not only document a genre of art referred to as feminine mysticism, but also to reveal powerful images of the divine in his/her myriad forms. The ultimate mission of the book is to assist humanity in evolving in our conceptualization of the divine, transcending out of antagonistic, dualistic and hierarchical gender associations and into a new mode of consciousness that is more inclusive of all of God's creation.

Presenter's Biography:

Victoria Christian is a mystical artist, writer and eco-feminist. She holds undergraduate and Masters degrees in sociology, with an emphasis in the sociology of gender, social theory, the sociology of art and ecofeminism. For her thesis, she did research on Women Artists and Identity Formation in a Postmodern Society, which is currently being compiled in another book.

Aside from her academic training, she pursued her own research on feminine mysticism in art, which entailed interviewing over fifty artists from all over the United States, some of which are contributors to this book. The impetus for the research stemmed from her own experiences as a woman artist as well as her disillusionment over the demise of the feminine principle in the West, and the lack of sacred images of the Goddess. In examining the creative works of several visual artists, writers and poets, she noticed a common thread or genre of art that has gone unrecognized in the contemporary art world. She refers to this genre as Feminine Mysticism because the core artistic mission of all of these artists is to cultivate an awareness of the Divine, particularly the Great Goddess in Western society as she has been so hidden from view. For more information about her books and artistic mission, you can view her website.

Lecture: The ReGeneration Dialogues
By Dominic Allamano

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome

Presentation Description:

The world we have all known throughout our lives is rapidly changing, reflecting to each of us the great death and glorious birth which are simultaneously accelerating throughout every system of civilization and the community of life.

The generation coming of age NOW (approximately those in their late teens to late 30's), is inheriting the consequences of every choice that has ever been made. These consequences manifest as the context for this generation's emergence, offering a future shrouded by the dark shadows of a global systemic CRISIS, while the radiant light of multi-dimensional OPPORTUNITY illuminates possible pathways to a brilliant future.

If we were a healthy culture, what would we do right now?

The ReGeneration Dialogues are a new weekly RVML program, created in partnership with The ReGeneration Project, exploring this dynamic question from the perspective of the awakening ReGeneration. Through group experiential journeys and dialogues the program will explore emerging culture, embodied consciousness and the regenerative possibilities for humanity and the Earth.

Presenter's Biography:

Dominic Allamano has focused his life energy on empowering the birth of a healthy human culture in intimate and generative relationship to the Earth. He has been facilitating small groups for over 13 years, collaborating with Tej Steiner since 2004 on developing and sharing the Heart Circle model. He travels widely speaking about the experiences and passions of the awakened young generation, as well as the dynamics of midwifing the birth of a new human culture while hospicing and navigating the challenges of the shifting dominant world culture.

Utilizing his inspired communication abilities to share his deeply embodied wisdom, and empowered by a powerful community of allies, he is co-crafting networks and tools to potentiate the capacity of our communities to realize the inherent potential of conscious cocreation with Gaia, while masterfully navigating the unforeseen consequences of humanity's past choices.
