Lecture: The TARA Approach to Healing Yourself- Using Ancient Energy Medicine in our Modern Western Lives
By Valerie Muroki

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome, no one turned away

Presentation Description:

The ancient East meets today's Western understanding of neurology and psychology in The TARA Approach -- a hands-on system that incorporates energy medicine (Jin Shin TARA), Taoist five-element theory, and western scientific models in order to resolve shock and trauma.

Valerie Muroki, Certified TARA Approach Self Care Teacher and Advanced Practitioner, will offer insight on how our early development affects our behavioral patterns and life experience, and will show the means to resolve these damaging shocks and traumas and heal our lives. For at the heart of the TARA Approach is self care, a foundation which supports personal transformation and renewal.

Presenter's Biography:

Valerie Muroki has practiced the Tara Approach, Jorei, hypnotherapy or other healing modalities over most of the 30+ years she lived on Maui. A recent Ashland transplant, she eagerly offers to share her knowledge and experience, both as a teacher and an Advanced Practitioner of the Tara Approach.

Valerie has been deeply involved in her community as a court-appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children and a facilitator for family decision making sessions, which include members of Child Protective Services and service providers for the families. She has headed a youth service center on Maui, trained teenagers to be peer mediators, and taught English as a Second Language. As an investigative reporter for a local newspaper she won an award for a series of articles spotlighting the misdeeds of a developer. These and other careers, after she spent an adventurous two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, have made for a rich and rewarding life.

Lecture: The Art & Science of Healing with Love
By Leonard Laskow, MD

$5.00 - 20.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome, no one turned away

Presentation Description:

As the mind rests and the heart opens, the truth of who we are-in the deepest sense-is finally revealed. The search for love ends the moment we discover it to be ever present within.

Coming into wholeness through loving presence, beyond conditioning and concept, the enormous energy we use to maintain the illusion of separation from truth, from Oneness, from Source, is liberated. Then, using conscious choice as attention and intention, this energy can be cohered and directed to heal the physical body, one's own and others, resolve emotional issues, and support spiritual unfoldment in its uniqueness and unity.

This evening's didactic and experiential presentation will blend ancient wisdom with recent scientific research on the efficacy of loving energy in facilitating healing on all levels. All are welcome here.

Presenter's Biography:

Dr. Laskow, a Stanford-trained Life Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, served as faculty at UCSF and Chief of OB-GYN at the Community Hospital in Carmel, California. He is a founding diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine and a former member of the Institute of Heartmath's Scientific Advisory Board. Author of Healing With Love, Dr. Laskow is a consultant in Behavioral and Energy Medicine in Ashland, Oregon and gives seminars at universities, medical centers, and holistic institutes around the world.

Introductory Lecture: The Evolutionary Path of Human Consciousness- Beyond the Veils
By Nancy Landry

Thursday, January 11, 2007 ( 12 week workshop to follow)

$3.00 Suggested donation, everyone welcome, no one turned away.

Presentation Description:

This lecture is an introduction to a 12-week workshops that explores how "God is both scientific and spiritual". Consciousness is the point where science and spirituality come together. There is a "road map" to understanding the play of Consciousness throughout Creation. God-mind is reflected and expressed in every aspect of our consciousness and physical bodies. This subject is explored in a way that forms a tangible link between the structures of Creation as presented in Keylontic Science and our personal, internalized life experience.

The Perpetual Veils and false idea filters through which we have been taught to interpret and conduct our lives have blocked our remembering of our Eternal Selves for thousands of years. False beliefs can be healed by re-perceiving old paradigms so that the original integrity of our Majesty of Being can once again be made manifest. Knowledge of our Race history and Stellar Activation Cycle, provide a highly significant "turning point" in our evolution and a time when it is critical for us to regain our knowledge, memory and positions as the Guardians and Keepers of the Planetary Templar (energy system). We are entering the 5th World, a symbol for the Rebirth of our Race. Indigo Children, DNA Strand Activation and Self-empowerment is essential.

Will you be ready when ascension comes?

Presenter's Biography:

Nancy Landry has studied metaphysics and science for 35 years, and the Freedom Teachings of Keylontic Science for the last 5 years. This includes multi-dimensional physics and ascension mechanics using the healing techniques of light, sound, and subconscious symbol codes. She has attended dozens of workshops around the world (including India, Morocco, and Europe), and has watched approximately 800 hours of workshops given by Ashayana Deane, Author and Speaker for the Melchizedek Cloister Emerald Order. Nancy's prior work background included teaching and 27 years as a Real Estate Broker and Investor.

Workshop: A New Humanity - Reinventing a Troubled World
By Rennie Davis

FREE ADMISSION - DONATIONS WELCOME

"Should all the world continue to blame, one person, holding unconditional respect as a new standard on earth, is sufficient to birth a new humanity into the world."
-Rennie Davis

Description:

What is causing our troubled world? Who can explain the fracturing, name-calling and splitting asunder that everywhere is intensifying? The discovery of what is creating our troubled world may one-day rank as humanity's greatest discovery. Rennie Davis believes that discovery is now occurring in quantum physics.

He looks at the present time through the eyes of evolution to make remarkable observations about the coming period 2007-2022. He also brings tools for those that would organize a prison break from today's human condition.

Presenter's Biography:

In the 1960's, Rennie Davis was the coordinator of the largest anti-war and civil rights coalition of that era. He organized the largest non-violent protest arrest in American history and directed many of this country's most significant and remembered events for change. He was one of the Chicago 7. Now he presents a new vision-a call for a new humanity. The times favor re-inventing the human condition. A New Humanity is also favored by community. Following the public talk, Rennie presents an exceptional two-day training (January 13/14) to support those that would re-invent the worst of times into the best of times.

Astrology in Ashland Lecture Series: Terry Lamb M.A.: "The Astrology of Spiritual Initiation"

Presented by: "Astrology in Ashland"- The Southern Oregon Chapter of the
National Council for Geocosmic Research (SONCGR*)

$5, General Public, $4 Seniors (62+), $3 SONCGR Member

Meets every third Monday of the month at RVML

Lecture Description:

Spiritual growth and evolution occurs in everyone's life whether they know it or not. This proceeds at a relatively slower pace until the individual elects to evolve more rapidly when spiritual growth is then accelerated through the process of initiation. This process can be seen in the astrological chart through both the natal chart, and transits and progressions.

An intermediate understanding of astrology is desirable for this event. Please bring a transparency of your chart if you would like it to be used as an example as time permits.

Accomplished speaker, coach, trainer, and healer Terry Lamb (M.A., Linguistics, UCSD, C.A., NCGR - Level IV) is a spiritually focused astrologer whose work is informed by her studies in depth psychology, subtle-body healing, and business and marketing. Lecture: 15 Years of Scientific Crop Circle Research
By Nancy Talbott

Presented by the Volunteers and Staff of RVML in cooperation with the SOU Media Collective.

Location: Southern Oregon University- Rogue River Room, Stevenson Union 1250 Siskiyou, Ashland

General Admission: $7.00 at the door or in advance at RVML, no one turned away.
$3.00 FOR COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!

Presentation Description:

A detailed presentation of the scientific examination of cropcircle plants and soils carried out by the BLT Research Team Inc.'s professional consultants over the last 15 years. The well-documented results obtained (which identify "genuine" crop circles, those produced by an as-yet-not-understood phenomenon--from man-made, mechanically-flattened crop patterns) and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals will be clearly presented, and Michigan biophysicist W.C. Levengood's "plasma vortex" hypothesis discussed. The intriguing results of an x-ray diffraction study of clay minerals in crop circle soils, evaluated by Dr. Robert C. Reynolds, Jr. (a renowned mineralogist/geologist and Dartmouth College professor) will also be presented.

The fact that many of the plant and soil changes documented in hundreds of crop circles all over the world often occur in association with anomalous light phenomena, and other strange events, will also be discussed. Ms. Talbott's eyewitness accounts of two separate crop circle events in Holland (2001 and 2006) will be included, as will her investigations in Poland which indicate that UFOs are directly involved in the creation of some crop circles.

For the last 15 years Ms. Talbott has been intimately involved in the professional scientific work conducted on crop circle plants and soils. Having now observed first-hand the creation of two separate crop formations (neither event involving visible UFOs) she offers a unique perspective on the overall phenomenon.

Presenter's Biography:

Nancy Talbott is the Field Research Coordinator and press contact for the BLT Research Team (John Burke, William C. Levengood and Nancy Talbott), which has been examining plants and soils in crop formations in several countries. They have also studied the electromagnetic environments, unusual animal deaths in the U.S. and Canada, and UFO trace-cases since 1989.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Ms. Talbott worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland and at Harvard University. She then became an independent producer of Appalachian music festivals in the northeast. Since 1992 she has devoted 100% of her time to the development of a cohesive, well-trained field sampling and reporting network in several countries. This network has supplied the thousands of samples examined in-depth by Levengood, biophysicist, and others over the last nine years.

Ms. Talbott lectures to groups internationally which are interested in learning about the physical abnormalities in the plants and soils associated with these phenomena and the hypotheses developed so far to help organize the laboratory data within a scientific context.

BLT Research is a hard-working group of thoroughly interested, capable individuals serious about applying scientific methodology and solid professional expertise to these perplexing mysteries which have been ignored by the scientific establishment for far to long.

An engaging speaker able to present hard scientific data to the lay person in a compelling, easy-to-understand presentation, Nancy mixes facts and visual images and her years of experience to skillfully show the high-strange, scientific reality behind mysterious phenomenal events.

Ms. Talbot majored in Psychology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and Harvard Extension School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following 5 years as a Research Analyst at the University of Maryland and Harvard Colledge and 20 years as a festival producer in the Northeast, Ms. Talbott has organized, directed and financed crop formation fieldwork for the BLT Research Team since 1993. She lectures regularly in the U.S. and abroad, presenting the BLT Team's research results

Video Description:

Invisible Children is a documentary recorded in 2003 based on the experiences of three college students from San Diego, California in Northern Uganda. They went to Uganda to see what they could film, and they found thousands of people affected by the insurgency of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The resulting story focuses on the war's effects on children, particularly child soldiers.

They found that thousands of children flee their homes nightly in order to escape being abducted. Children in Uganda are regularly abducted by the LRA to be trained as child soldiers. The children who run from their homes walk miles to find shelter in hospitals or bus parks - virtually anywhere far away from rebel camps.

The filmmakers have also started a related nonprofit organization designed to help curb the problem. This is accomplished primarily by sending volunteers to Acholiland, the affected region in Northern Uganda, to aid former child-soldiers in re-integration into normal civic life through education and extensive psychological evaluation and treatment.

The organization has adopted the name Invisible Children Inc. as the official name for itself and its movement. It has been established in the United States and is currently involved with distributing copies of the Invisible Children DVD to as many people as possible. Members of the organization are currently touring the country in small groups via donated recreational vehicles.

The volunteers have been holding showings of the film at various educational and cultural centers (mostly high schools and colleges). The campaign has been centered around raising public awareness in the U.S. in an attempt to spur youth into action and change the current policies of both the United States and Ugandan governments (who have largely let the conflict fester).

They hope to achieve their goals with the Global Night Commute that took place on April 29, 2006. By the final count, some 80,000 youths from around the world converged on urban centers in 130 major cities around the world in solidarity with displaced Ugandan children who are attempting to avoid capture by the LRA as seen in the film.

Forms of hypnosis have been used for thousands of years, so why haven't you heard more about it? Just ask most of the PGA pros including Tiger Woods, or the Olympic athletes or the ex-smokers or the students who increase their test scores or….all realize how much benefit in the quality of life they have had. Modern research is showing how effective hypnosis is. Thankfully Creig Yates, a Holistic Health practitioner and Clinically Certified Hypnotherapist, has been experimenting with the benefits and possibilities hypnosis has to offer. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You may not have realized you have been practicing self-hypnosis most of your life. Come and discover how you can create a better
life. NOW!

In contrast to a typical discussion forum, participants are encouraged to explore ideas from a metaphysical perspective, where no idea is too far-out!

Utilizing intellect and intuition, participants explore: What is our purpose for existence? Where did we come from? How do our souls come into being? What is the triune nature of mind?

Frank Dunlap
Lecture: ORBS- Of Dust And Consciousness
By Frank Dunlap

$5-$10 donation appreciated, but no one turned away!

Presentation Description:

With the proliferation of digital cameras the phenomena of ORBS has raised many questions and speculations. Are they spirit, or simply motes of dust? Beliefs and opinions span this polarity, but the phenomena has had little attention and less scientific examination upon which to assert anything with any certainty.

Presenter's Biography:

Join Frank Dunlap for a slide show exploration into the ORB phenomena. Frank has lived and worked as a chef in the Rogue Valley for over 25 years, but it was a series of out-of-body experiences during his teenage years that have spurred a lifelong search to understand both the personal relevance of the experiences and the "How could that be?" rational explanations. Exploring down one of the many paths of that search Frank took his first photograph of an "orb" and was immediately intrigued. With well over 150 photos Frank will try to approach the ORB phenomena from both the Right and Left brain views. Please e-mail your photos and stories, and feel free to bring your cameras to this highly speculative presentation!

Presentation Description:

Scientific observation is necessary for the intellectual mind to validate inclusion of facts that are basically recognized through the detection of resistive patterns of their data. Thoughts, feelings, intentions and attitudes comprise our subjective world. However, in all things there is an inner and an outer world, which reveals themselves through different lenses of perception and diverse encounters. Ancient Wisdom-keepers tell us that between these two realities that are easily perceived lies another deeper inner world of no time/limitless potential that is your magnetic energy, which is both majestic and powerful. This inner-world is much more ancient than either the subjective world of thought or the objective world of manifestation. It contains the seeds of all beginnings and is able to continuously begin again from the void of all potential. This is the place where the energy of pure being/creation resides and is carried forth to appear in the worlds of thought and manifestation. This void is i
n every atom of reality including your bodies allowing you to experience the power of prayer with clear intent, thus creating the miracles, or healings that are requested. The patterns and relationships in the movement of the Tzolk'in glyphs are very powerful sacred energies residing in the cosmos and your physicality. Listen to the wisdom of the Ancient Mayans and learn to empower your lives with these energies that repeat as fractals through infinity.

Presenter's Biography:

Combining 14 years of research on the Mayan and Anasazi Ancient Cultures with cosmology and nano science at the atomic scale have led to the development of this intensive course. The first Academie of Light was established for a year in Houston in collaboration with Ken Cox, NASA-JSC to teach consciousness awareness and spiritual concepts in preparation for space colonization in the future. Judith's connections with the space agencies continues to this day as co-founder of CANEUS Organization in Montreal, Canada which includes members of global space agencies from Canada, Europe, United States, Japan, China and India.

As President of The NanoTechnology Group Inc, a Global Education Consortium for K-20 nano science education she is invited to speak in many countries around the world and participated in the UNIDO-ICS Expert Working Group for Nanotechnology in Developing Nations held in Trieste, Italy. She is on the Board of Advisors for the NanoEthics Group in California and on five Advisory Boards of Lifeboat Foundaton. Judith was featured in the 2003 International Who's Who in Education Professionals and the 1983 1st Edition of Notable Women of Texas for her fine art portraiture, which included an Appointment as a U.S. Coast Guard Artist in 1983-84.

As a teacher/ practitioner and Reiki Master, Judith has expanded her energy healing work over the years to include the Mayan Tonal Acupressure and Axiatonal Initiation work. She traveled the United States from 1992-1996 sharing these teachings and practicing the healing methods. During these travels she visited many sacred lands and was identified by the Native American tribes as a Medicine Woman and given the name 'Light Feather', while in the Yucatec Maya lands she was identified as the Owl Priestess of Uxmal and given the name 'Balam Ak'bal' (Jaguar of the Night) as a Mayan Sh'men (female shaman). Her ongoing Mayan research of the nine recurring cycles that multiply in fractals throughout infinity explains the deeper layers of the patterns and relationships between the cycles known as the calendars.
